just a point of order
Wow, I just took a look around that national website to get the "official" word on expansion.
That website is in SORRY shape for a general fraternity. There is almost no content that is current at all. I dont expect a major overhaul every week, but it doesnt take alot of effort to update simple things like text and such. Again, sorry to rock the boat with the HQ gang, but come on here Lenoxxx |
Brother J, I could not agree with anyone more than you on this subject!!!
We have been getting the run around for much to long! I used to tell people that we had one of the best web sites in GreekDom! Well as you have stated, not anymore.:o Looks nice upon intro and some of the threads, but there is a whole lot to be desired! Without Digital, we cannot contact Brothers from all over the country or get any info on chapters or ????? Brother Jon Sagara has been in contact with and I said something to our GC Guru John H about it but has not had time. Jon on the other hand has offered his services and was turned down. If you have seen his web site of LXA Zeta, it is fantastic. What else can I say BUT?????  |
credit is due where credit is due
Updated as of today, the Fraternity National website finally got updated.
Hey maybe if we bitch here it gets done. Thanks to the people there for updating it! Lenoxxx |
J, will check it out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the update!! May a little Bitching go a long way!:) :D  |
J, where did they update it? get tired of looking at same ole crap!
Lead me to the right thread if you please Bro!!!!:) |
SDSU
Delta Sig Stan from Delta Sigma Phi says that Lambda Chi is coming back to San Diego State University- this is the Zeta Pi Chapter.
Is there any merit to this? Anyone hear anything else on this topic that is current, and Tom Earp, please no un-readable responses to this post. Thanks Lenoxxx |
The SDSU rumor appears to be true - but, based upon experience, I'll believe it when I see it.
The SDSU chapter house used to be awesome - they had a huge C & C inlaid on the floor of the dining area - very nice. Good location, fun guys. They'll have a major challenge to overcome at SDSU with the new Greek housing area - there won't be room for LXA, and their old chapter house is slated to be torn down next year. Bummer. |
Oh, Jason, tell me you still love me Bro! Hope you were being funny!:)
Maybe DeltaSigmaStan can give more of an update when school gets started! |
I hear LCA is one of three fraternities being looked at, to be picked to expand to American University in Washington DC. Which is great there are lots of schools in the DC metro area we should try to get onto. I'll post more when i hear about it.

Good job gossip hounds!
Im glad to see little bits of information being gathered here and there, here is another website that leads me to believe DePauw (Xi) is going to come back into focus soon! Lenoxxx http://www.2stayconnected.com/lca-depauw/index.php |
I'd swear we had a colony at American University sometime in the past.
|
according to Ped V.45
we had a colony at Catholic Univeristy of America from 82-83 is that the same? lenoxxx |
Catholic University and American University are both in DC but there is no connection between the two. I thought we had been at American, but it could well have been Catholic instead.
The Greeks in DC have a hard row to hoe; so many of the kids in town have "Potomac Fever" and are caught up in the whirl of being in DC. So many of them have political stars in their eyes and a fair amount of effort goes into making contacts on "The Hill" and more traditional Greek activities seem to get left by the wayside. That being said, we have a great group at George Washington University that are working hard to strike a balance between the different forces tugging at them. |

That is the current GWU website They are a newer chapter but reside in the old Sigma Chi House downtown in DC. Id say Catholic was what you wre thinking of there John. I'm just wondering when the new "we are expanding list" will go public, but it is interesting to see how much info and gossip this small group of people seems to know/generate. Keep on posting!
