I went to a parochial high school and in 12th grade I had the opportunity to take chemistry and biology classes at the college near my school. In addition to my HS tuition they had to pay for my college credits, but it's money well spent because I didn't have to take any science courses in college!

How did we get into this topic anyway?

I too took colege courses while in high school. My senior year all I needed for graduation was senior English. I was offered Early Admission/Early Attendance at a university 2 hours from home. This was on the condition that my high school would accept my college freshman English class as credit for my Senior English course, and allow me to graduate high school in June with my class. My school did want to set a "precedent" and said no. However, I did get permission to take Senior English first period, then leave campus to take classes at the local community college. However, high school students who are taking college courses while still attending high school are not usually not considered to be full time students at their college. Many times they are not taking a full course load at the college. They are usually not allowed to join Greek organizations, run for student government offices (at the college), play on the college athletic teams, ..... You get the idea.


So again we are at the question...
