This is the quietest I've ever seen this thread...

My D hasn’t really had much to say either. |
my D is on the other side this year and I haven't heard much at all, other than that she is tired. I hope it all goes smoothly and the PNMs keep their minds open and find their sisters. Tomorrow morning will be their first potential bump in the road when they get their lists back. Hopefully cool heads will prevail, but usually that's when the tears start for some:(

I feel like we'll get more action in here once cuts are made.

First list this morning-
|
my D says it is pouring there today, and that it making for a little chaos as groups are running late and the lines are getting messed up. She is also under the impression that a lot of girls dropped already. She had no further information about that. I imagine it probably happens every year, she is just more aware of it this year being on the other side.
The two most interesting things she told me so far: A PNM was giving out $100 Bloomingdales gift certificates during first round. Really?? I can't believe that would be allowed. Will have to hear more about that when I actually talk to her. Probably just a crazy rumor. First round she saw a PNM who appeared to be older, turn out she was 30 years old and a blogger wanting to write about sorority life. I doubt many chapters will be interested in that.. |
Don't think there is a Bloomingdale's in Indiana, is there? The things that one hears...LOL

A girl from out of state could certainly use one of those gift certificates.
On that note Indiana Panhellenic Instagram is uploading the door chants in their recruitment story. I still imagine being the PNM at the front of the line, the door opens, and it's a ton of noise. |
Does anyone know how many PNMs actually participated in recruitment?
Also how many did Chi O, ASA and DPhiE take during informals last Fall? |

ChiO took somewhere around 25-30 during informal (for some reason 27 is in my head but I'm not positive). I know they were hurt by study abroad numbers this recruitment- around 20 of their juniors went abroad. |
I believe it was 1600+ registered.

My goddaughter is a rho gam this year, so she's getting an entirely new experience of IU rush. I talked to her a bit, and she said she's loving getting to know so many other ladies from other houses and that she feels "very invested" in all the girls in her group. She's nervous for them getting lists back on Friday and hopes she can encourage them to stick it out no matter what. She said she's trying to catch up on sleep this week! :)
