That's great!! I dropped out of formal rush and snap bidded and I NEVER regretted my choice. She'll have fun.

Personally, I felt this was one of the best rushes at Pitt ever! Were things a little crazy at times, definately but we did just switch over to formal recruitment last year. Three years from now, everything will be so settled and it will seem like riding a bike.
Delta Phi Epsilon is absolutely thrilled to have 15 new members! This is our largest new member class since Spring 98 and we love every single girl in the new member class! And the best part is that so many houses on campus welcomed their largest new member classes in so long! I think about 150 women signed bids and thats some of the highest numbers ever for our campus. (Okay, when I say ever, I mean like from late ninties cause thats as far back as I know.) Every sorority really did a great job - it was like a huge Christmas morning last night in front of the union. I'm just kinda surprised we didn't make the front page of the Pitt News - I mean we were LOUD! |

Actually the Pitt news has been fair to the Greeks recently covering charity events, and such. Today was actually a very Greek issue with Front-page coverage of Sharon’s resignation, and a pro-Greek opinion piece by non-Greek. It had all the stereotypes in it about drinking and girls (it made fun of them) but dismissed the one about buying your friends.
This one is about Sharon resigning: http://www.pittnews.com/vnews/displa.../3d927b9a5adce This one is the opinion piece http://www.pittnews.com/vnews/displa.../3d927f00058c9 |
