Dayum ... keep forgetting that the Vatican is an independent country. It didn't feel like I was crossing a country border, since I left my passport in my apt in Prati (2min walking from St. Peter's Basilica).

my goal is to visit Cuba sometime in the next 5 years. I figured there's somewhere btwn 5 and 10 years before Castro dies. And y'all know that Havana won't be the same once development starts.

Sadly, when he dies there are already people in line to take over where he left off. I suggest moving to another country, getting citizenship, apply for a passport and take your trip then :)

Jill1228 01-23-2005 03:24 PM

Haven't travelled to as many places as Mr. 1228 (he travels on business quite a bit) but here goes

Canada (Vancouver and Toronto). Toronto is one of my all time fave cities (much to the dismay of Mr. 1228, who is from Montreal)
England. Loved London, the underground, the shopping, the people
Mexico (Cozumel)-loved the beaches
Grand Cayman-beaches
St. Maarten, Netherland Antilles (the beach and the people)
Jamaica-the scenery

What would happen if you travel to Cuba with a US Passport? Does Cuba have problems with that, or our beloved USA does? I've heard people getting hefty fines for visiting Cuba (or if US Immigration found any Cuban stamps on your passport).

navane 01-25-2005 01:00 AM

I have been to:

Mexico
Hong Kong (before hand over to China)
South Korea
England
Scotland
Wales
Belgium
Germany
Poland

I have to say, with all honesty, I've enjoyed each and every one of those places!

.....Kelly :)
