My boyfriend and I are both rushing this fall!
He's going to University of the Pacific (*sniffle* he's leaving tomorrow), and I'm going to the University of California, Riverside. Wish us both luck! XOXO, Annie. |

Good luck to Annie and your boy! Keep us posted as to how everything goes! |
My Sig Ep boyfriend and I have been going strong for 2 years !!!(sept 10th ) We met in high school and have survived going to different schools and joining glo's. I cant say it wasn't and still isnt hard, my chapter is WAY more active then his and he would get really jealous when every night we would have a different one on one. I'll never get to be his chapters sweetheart and we'll never get to be Greek couple. But it's okay because I love all of his brothers and he loves my sisters.
When I was in Panama City for Spring Break we were eating at Hooters and there were a whole bunch up Sig Eps (needless to say my memory was in no shape to remember where they were from) but I introduced myself as a Sigma Kappa and a girlfriend of a Sig Ep and they were all so sweet to me. Later on during dinner other members came over and introduced themselves to me. I was so impressed that these boys were so mature and polite! So whoever those guys were thanks :) Annie-Good luck this year, I'm sure things can work out between you two! Let me know how things go with Rush and your boyfriend. :) |
my boyfriend and I went to the same school, and were both Greek, but didn't start dating until long after college.... I was actually dating one of his brothers for quite a while!
It's a constant source of suprise to me though - while he was a Chapter founder (Pi Kappa Alpha - Kappa Omega chapter!), he's been out for a few years longer than I have, so I think he's a little shocked by how often I still talk about my sisters :) |
My boyfriend is in Delta Chi... he's the greatest! I actually met him while I was at house one night hanging out, he got my number, we went on a date and YAY :D it's been great.... I would have never thought to meet such an awesome bf that way, to be honest! But I'm glad that I did.

I didn't actually date much in college, but when I left school I started dating a DTD. We were together for nearly four years. Lavaliered, etc. We've been apart for nearly two years, and I still wear it every day. When I asked him about it, he said there was no reason not to wear it. (Long story). Anyhow, we're still best friends, and might actually get back together one day (when he grows up!!). :) A side note.. I didn't get lavaliered until we'd been out of school for two years. He was an asst. chapter advisor, and I was an inactive alumna. Ironic, huh?
Anyhow, the point of it.. There is just something about being Greek. Even if you're not active, or alumnae, it will always be a part of you. Unless someone is Greek, they just can't even understand what it means to you. I think it makes more sense once someone is out of school and away from the day-to-day obligations and hassles. School is so hectic & busy, it is amazing to have someone who understands & even feels the same way. Even if I find the someone else to date, I hope he is Greek. |
I agree there are many beautiful sorority sisters out there but I kinda don't want to date within the brotherhood/sisterhood. I think dating a sister might take away from the purpose of being in my particular fraternity and it's ideals.
