In college, I held the positions of:

President
Recording Secretary
Historian
Public Relations Chairman
Lamp Editor

Currently, I am:

Webmaster for my alumnae chapter
Lamp reporter for my alumnae chapter
Ritual advisor to a collegiate chapter
Alumnae relations advisor to a collegiate chapter
Georgia alumnae membership chairman

Optimist Prime 07-23-2002 11:19 AM

my position? Hand cuffed and blind folded!

Anyway, I am the house manager and plan to run for Chaplin.

hannahgirl 07-23-2002 11:53 AM

i held V.P. Member Education - 2001
Panhellenic Public Relations - Spring 2002
Panhellenic President - Fall 2002

Will most likely run for President or V.P. Membership (Recruitment) for 2003.
:D

Since I've been a member I've held just about everything at least once:

Alumnae Liaison
Parliamentarian
Corresponding Sec
VP of Service
President (now)

So as you can see, I was patient and worked my way up, lol. This is my first full term as Chapter President...I stepped in last Spring semester after the previous one had to step down.

I'm looking forward to it, but I know already that it's going to be LOTS of work :D

My preferred position is on top! I feel more in control. :D

But, seriously I do feel more in control of what happens in a chapter with a EC position. My favorite ones were Publicity and Social chair.

re: Your position?

Optimist Prime,
If you run for and are elected "Chaplin", do you have to dress up in a bowler hat, cut away coat, baggy trousers, and carry a cane?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I had visions of Charlie Chaplin conducting the duties...

PhiSigMeg01 07-23-2002 04:24 PM

In my chapter I have served as co-chair of the Alumnae/Parents committee, Philanthropy Chair, and served as the Dancer Group Representative to our school's Dance Marathon :D

Damn, great resumes!

I only held two positions, Founder and God of the Local! Never anything with the Chapter of LXA!

But since then:

Founded the Core Group to keep the charter, start an Alum Group, reinstate the Alum Golf Tourney, start a mentoring group to work with the Chapter, and a building committee for a new House.

One must remember, I graduated in the time of Christ 1967 but should have in 1964, to much fun and schools!

Other than that, I guess not much!:D

If had stayed single would have still been there!:D :)

Well needless to say, I am still involved! :)

Go Fellow Greeks!

Geez...I was Administrative VP, Panhellenic Delegate, Assistant Financial VP, Assistant New member director, and standards chair in Gamma Phi.
In panhellenic I was Public Relations and Judical chair and President.
I guess my fav. was President because I learned a whole lot about delegation and responsiblity.
I am greatly thankful of the opportunities to serve the greek system at my school. Now that i have graduated and i look back I'm really glad that I got the chance to be a leader.:)

phisigbrookie 07-23-2002 05:29 PM

Current: President and Scholarship Representative to Panhellenic

Past: Recording Secretary, Parents Chair, Insignia Chair (in charge of ordering shirts, jewelry, ect.), Sisterhood Chair, and Social Chair

AngelSMSU7 07-23-2002 11:37 PM

I am currently the VP Intellectual Development.

Last year, I was PACE chair (Promote Alpha Chi Everyday)!

*Sister-Mother Coordinator-- In other words, I was Big/Lil Chair. I planned events, held weekly monitor meetings, matched up the Bigs and Lils, Surveys, etc. Fun, but it could be a pain in the butt.(To AGD's, its usually under the Sisterhood Coordinator's job, but back before IHQ consolidated many of the positions, it was an actual one and my chapter has brought it back. I even wrote a full manuel for it.)
Ass. New Member Educator
*Webmaster/mistress
*Panhel Delagate
*Sisterhood Committee
*Finance Committee (After being on this I vowed never to do anything that involved people and money )

Unrecognized Position.....

Big Sister to the whole chapter. Being the oldest and only senior it was my job to kind of be babysitter at parties, the shoulder to lean on, advice giver, leader etc. I was fun but with 2 juniors, 7 sophs, and 40 freshmen at times I wanted to crawl under a rock.( :p :( ) ;)

SAEalumnus 07-25-2002 12:45 AM

Wow... so many to choose from.... okay, here we go...

Chapter President
Pledge Educator
interim Treasurer
House Manager
Alumni Relations Chairman
acting Historian
IFC Representative
Greek Council Representative
Bylaws Committee Chairman
IFC Senior Vice President (of Membership)

... I think that covers 'em all.

kristiAZD 07-25-2002 01:37 AM

I have been:

Public Relations Vice President
Assistant New Member Orientation Chair
Historian
Publicity Chair
T-Shirt Chair
Scrapbook Chair

It was my times spent as PRVP and Publicity Chair that made me realize I wanted to change my major from history to graphic design.....it's amazing how something like that can change your life!

P.S. I was also a Rho Chi!

AOIIalum 07-25-2002 09:27 AM

From the alumna perspective

In college I held a variety of offices, the ones I remember off the top of my head include KOR, COB Chair, Administrative Assistant (precursor to VP Administration, I think), and Panhellenic Officer (Panhellenic Rush Chair). I was also Greek Week Chair one year and a Rho Chi.

As an alumna I've been Education Adviser, acting CR adviser :), Chapter Adviser, Alumnae Education officer, and currently am a Corporation Board Treasurer. For those of you who are or soon will be alumni of your GLOs, please stay involved after college! Your collegiate chapters are the lifeblood of your organizations and need our support! </off soapbox!>

Christin
