However, I did succomb and began watching the Friends reruns. :o I'm not going to say The Parkers deserves 10 seasons. I'm not mad to see it go. |
I must say that I do watch this show. However it is due to the fact that I do not have cable. I can say that this show has gone further down the tubes. Kim has just gone from dumb to stupid.
Last night my boyfriend and I were watching the show and Nikki was chasing after the professor (as usual) and my boyfriend said the simple solution to the professor’s problem is a restraining order! |

Tonight is the series finale. . . If Nikki leaves Johnny for the Professor, Imma be

The reason that the Parkers are going off the air after 5 years is because according to UPN, they only keep shows on the air for 5 years. Once they hit that 5 year mark the show gets cancelled. Now some other station can pick i tup, but UPN won't renew it.
As for the last show, I don't want Nikki to marry the professor. I mean damn you been chasing this man for 5 years, you found someone that wants to be with you, and is in love with you. Let the professor be by his stank self at that new college where he got a job. |

Disney Channel has a similar rule. Their rule is after 65 episodes, the show is a wrap. It sucks too because I miss Even Stevens. |

Their rationale is that the show's quality won't go downhill. It leaves people wanting more of the same.
Especially on Disney where the kids grow up. A 16 year old Raven or Lizzie living at home it cuter than a 23 year old Raven or Lizzie living at home. Also as the audience for the show matures they lose interest. well this applies to Disney moreso. Characters should evolve and change just like kids do in real life. With UPN I think that they just don't wanna pay actors big money. So you lock em in for Five years contigent upon ratings and what could a person do? Can't wrangle and hold out for a million per episode like they did on Friends. |
