Tonya is a SKANK! What's up with this "Darren" dude that supposedly handles her financial matters. She called him and asked him to put $140 in her bank account so that her phone wouldn't be turned off. She was trying to sound all "sickly" and needy on the phone with him and said that she was staying in the house "all alone" while the roomates were in Boston. In the meantime, Justin was there and she was about to get her freak on with him. Then, she freaked Justin the whole weekend...but of course, she couldn't go to Boston...doctor's orders!

Justin is STUPID. He was upset with Tonya because apparently she spends a lot of time on the phone with "Darren"...but she says he's a "father figure"...OK...(hearing the Biz Markie song "But you say he's just a friend..."). Wake up Justin...of course she's giving up some booty to this guy who sends her money all the time. He's probably her PIMP. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we found out that Tonya was a call girl back in Walla Walla! Then...what's up with her laying in the bed and sobbing about Theo. Justin is even more stupid for trying to confront Theo.

Theo handled it well. I liked his way of going about telling Justin what was up. I also give mad props to Theo for going to Chris' party with all those gay people. I was LMAO when he was at that party and gay men were coming up to him. Theo was like "yeah...I'm here with my boy Chris...don't get it twisted...I don't get down like that.

Ok why was I looking at this last night going no this tramp is not sounding like she is at deaths door with this Darren guy. Then I was like who is this Darren guy, then I was like why she lying that she is there by herself.

Justin knows that something is up with Walla Walla and Darren, that is why he deleted that email that he(Darren) sent her. Did you see when she called him on it and he was like well I have asked you over and over who this guy is but you can't really give me a good explanation. Hell yeah you know that she is giving it up to this Darren guy. Why else is he giving her money. Now I thought Justin was suppose to have money, so why doesn't she just ask him.

I hate to say it, but I was LMAO when they were in the van and Tonya was telling them to make Theo stop talking to her like that. I mean I almost fell off the bed laughing. Theo is so straight up that it's not funny.

I agree that I think Theo handled that situation with Justin so well, and I like that he said that if someone asked him if he knew any gay men, he would be like yeah, my boy Chris. Theo has come a long way with that.

Why is Tanya still on the show? MTV paid for her to screw Justin. Theo called it just like it was. She didn't go to St. Louis, she didn't go to Boston. I wonder, since this is airing if Justin and Tanya are still together? They never showed her azz working AT ALL, so much for the MEDICAL BILLS...

See, she can get away with it...if you know what I mean.. ;)

Can Walla Walla be this DUMB?!!

No wonder some don't know which way is up

June 5, 2002

BY RICHARD ROEPER SUN-TIMES COLUMNIST

Longtime friends of mine will vouch for the fact that whenever I roam the streets of Chicago, I become Directions Guy. Spend any amount of time in my company and it won't be long before a group of explorers--maybe they'll be from Hamburg, maybe they'll be from Pittsburgh, maybe they'll be from Schaumburg--are asking if I can point them toward Wrigley Field or State and Madison or Navy Pier.

Once, a fair lass in a college letterman's jacket was standing directly in front of Niketown when she asked me if I knew where Niketown was. I instructed her to close her eyes and click her gym shoes together three times, and then told her to open her eyes and turn around. Ta da!

But even if someone is trying to get to a place that's miles away and will require a series of elaborate directions that would crash MapQuest, I'm happy to provide any assistance I can, up to and including getting into the car, taking over the wheel and leading the group in a singalong of "Can't Get There From Here" by R.E.M.

That's because I've got that manly thing of never admitting I can't get from here to there, whether I'm driving or I'm giving someone else directions. It's a particular point of pride for me because while I can still do multiplication tables on a "Rainman" level and my Phonics are solid, I was never geographically inclined, and it's taken me years of living within the city proper to gain a good working grasp of most of Chicago's better-traveled neighborhoods and streets. (If you think you know the city better than I do--you probably do. I concede.)

The northern portions of Chicago were especially tough for me to learn, because when I was growing up in the south suburbs, we thought a trip north meant a drive to Comiskey Park. I saw the inside of Yankee Stadium before I ever set foot in Thillens Stadium.

When I travel, for some reason I immediately cease to become Directions Guy in the eyes of others, and thank God, because I have to visit a city between four and six times before I have a clue--and that's only after I study maps and ask questions and take notes if necessary.

But at least I try, and I've always tried. I knew where Vietnam was when I was a little kid and neighbors were being sent over there, and I could have found Ireland on a globe when the globe was bigger than me. I think it's important to have some sense of the planet, if only to figure out where Matt Lauer's hiding or to avoid sounding like an amazing moron.

For example, Tonya from "The Real World: Chicago."

*******

Fans of the MTV show will recall that Tonya was the drama queen from Walla Walla, Wash., who had a tendency to misuse words, e.g., "Those jeans are so kosher!" and prattle on about her beloved boyfriend Justin and her kidney stones, not necessarily in that order.

On the new DVD titled "The Real World You Never Saw," Kyle tells of a conversation with Tonya before the cast gathered in Chicago:

"She looked at the United States map, and first of all, she couldn't tell me where Chicago was located. [So] I decided . . . to have a little fun with Tonya, so I'm like, 'Tonya, it's right there,' and she was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe it's that far south,' and I'm pointing to southwestern Texas, which she completely believes is Chicago. She [says], 'Hey, let's go to Mexico, we're so close, let's just walk over there.' "

Lest you think Kyle's exaggerating, we also see a clip of Tonya in a car in Chicago, trying to find North Avenue and patiently explaining to Cara that no matter which way she's facing, north is in front of her, south is behind her, east is to the right and west is to the left.

As Cara looks on incredulously, Tonya says, "Have you ever seen the compass?" and explains that "North, south, east [and] west" all depend on which way she's facing.

You wonder if the girl can find her rear end with her own two hands.

That's right up there with the conversation between two guys from New York and a young woman from Oregon on the recent ABC mini-series "The Hamptons," with one guy saying, "She's from Iowa, or Idaho, or Kansas," and the other chiming in, "Anything west of the Hudson, I don't know about."

Little wonder that Anne "The Weakest Link" Robinson recently dissed us by saying, "Americans are very poor on literature and politics and geography. They don't know anywhere outside Idaho."

Unfortunately, we're always hearing about studies that back up Robinson's claim. Forty-three percent of Americans can't find their home state on a map, 39 percent don't know whether Michigan is north of Louisiana, 26 percent think Texas is a country, 14 percent believe the moon is the 51st state, stuff like that.

And forget about foreign lands. The U.S. has to deploy troops to a distant locale before half of its citizenry will scramble to find that country on a map or a globe. (The other half doesn't have a map or a globe.)

As I said, I'm no geography major, but there's something depressing about so many people who live their entire lives without having the faintest understanding of where they're at, where they're going or where they've been.

ok...why was I crackingup at the little "Walla Walla" song that Kyle, Anessa and Carrie were singing in the van? It's a shame that a RW space was wasted on Tonya!!!!!

Pepsichick 06-06-2002 01:29 PM

I agree. The song in the van was not only funny but creative also. It shows how the other roomates have bonded with each other and can have a good time. Walla Walla needs to go back home.

Why would she apply to be on the Real World if all she wants to do is be with Justin? She could do that at home and made space for someone who really wanted to be there!

DST Love 06-06-2002 01:50 PM

Did anybody else peep how Tonya said that she's "not gonna live with a Black Man" that talks to her that way or something like that. What was the point of saying Black man as opposed to just "a person"?

Girl I caught that too! :o I was like why couldn't she just say a man/person??
That whole episode just confirmed that I really don't like that Walla Walla chick. That couldn't even have been me on that show because I would have already told her to take her dumb behind home a long time ago!
And what did Justin think he was going to do to Theo? Puh-leese!
But that song that they sang in the van really had me cracking up! :D
I can't wait to see what happens next week when Tonya finds out about Cara talking behind her back too. She was really two-faced!

C&C 06-07-2002 12:44 AM

Confused

I am confused about Tonya's relationship with this Darrin. She said he handles her finances.....what finances? I thought she was broke.

She also said he was a "father figure", then why does she have to lie to him? She is so manipulative.

In addition if her and Justin are so close, why is he still questioning her relationship with Darrin? But Tonya did check Justin and cut the conversation about Darrin short when they were on the phone.

Am I the only one ticked off with the other roomates for trying to act like they don't dog Tonya behind her back? I'm so glad Theo busted on all of them for trying to make him feel bad!!!

THANK YOU! Theo should have put all of them on blast about everything they said about her!

The song they were singing in the van had me CTFU!!

And Tonya REALLY put a bad taste in my mouth because she made a big deal in the van about how she can't go because it was doctor's orders for her not to go but then sleep with her man knowing it's against doctor's orders...THEN, she admitted she knows how to lie to get what she wants. I feel sorry for her man cause he's getting played

blueGBI 06-08-2002 12:15 AM

tonya.... grrrrrrrrrrr

hi, this is my first post.

ever since the beginning, tonya has looked like a two-faced ho and i was dying when theo broke it down to her. i hope all of them tell her what they really think on the last episode.
:D

bluz4 06-08-2002 12:31 AM

yall know what i honestly think that she and justin are probably still together. i mean he was still there even though the dude 'darren' ended the email with 'love you.' and even though she did call him out on that erasing email crap, he didn't hang up on her. i think he is just as whiny and pathetic as she is and she has him dangling from her puny fingers. arrrr that girl gets me riled up. but props to theo for keeping his cool and not becoming that angry, violent black man that mtv just LOVES portraying on its rw/rr shows.

ClassyLady 06-09-2002 01:06 AM

Tonya has absolutely made me sick. She is manipulative, and she admitted it. She knows how to lie and act to get her way and that is exactly what she has been doing. I was cheering Theo on when he cursed her out because she deserved it. What made me mad was how everybody else in the van was dead silent knowing that they all say the same thing about her behind her back especially Aneesa. As much stuff as Aneesa says about Tonya, she should have stepped in and backed Theo up when everybody started taking Tonya's side.

Cara gets on my nerves too. She will talk about Tonya one minute and then try to stick up for her the next. Decide if you like the girl or not and stick with it. You can't keep switching teams whenever you want to.

And MTV got on my nerves as well. Last week they tried to hype it all up like Justin and Theo were about to fight. Having Kyle on there talking about "I'm gonna have to pull Justin off of Theo." Please, get a life. Theo was a man about the whole situation. He came to Justin like a man and handled his business in a mature manner. He's better than me though. I wouldn't have said a thing to Justin. I would have been like "my beef is with her not you, therefore we don't have anything to talk about." Yeah, when someone gets on my nerves, I can catch quite the funky little attitude.

I swear this whole dag-gone season has gotten on my nerves tonight. Sometimes I think that I should be a talk show host so I can tell people the real truth about themselves. "Caller, you say what?"
