The Theta Chi chapter at UMass closed when I was a freshman, but the guys that I've met that used to belong are totally adorable.

I knew a really nice Theta Chi at Texas A&M. He was my partner for some creative writing projects. He was a very creative, interesting, all-around cool guy.

I didnt know any of them personally at UM but I can tell you they are a strong, big and diverse house, but they tend to be chosey about who they hang with. :)

In defense of my AGD sister, Dasma I dont think those were the only characteristics she was looking at to like the guys. Know what shes actually going by instead of looking at some lines in a post.

Hrm..i'm kind of confused as to what the last sentence means. Know what shes actually going by instead of looking at some lines in a post? Please elaborate and I will be pleased to listen or read.
In defense of my post, I typed what i did because of what I read. I took what i saw (most characteristics of a stereotypical fraternity in society today) and decided to comment. I do not believe that money and good looks make a chapter of any glo elite or special. Furthermore, I'm not a mind reader, I do not know what she was thinking outside of that post, if she wasn't thinking those things, then I am sorry, but I can only read what is posted.

Im not trying to be harsh or anything, but im saying exactly what you said.... your not a mind reader and you dont know what she was thinking or meant when she posted, maybe those arne the only things she looks at.....therefore maybe attacking her post a little wasnt called for, but thats just my two cents. Just helpin out a sister.

damasa 10-10-2001 09:09 AM

Well..I can't very well implicate what she was saying from a mere post now can I? What I saw posted were some stereotypical views, but o well. And, I really could not get what you said out of your post either, I don't know how you figure you posted what I posted right after you. I attacked a post, because that's what I saw. Frankly, that's all that I need to see, I don't know the girl, I don't know how she thinks, but if a post like that is posted on a forum, ppl are going to think.

I haven't met many, my sisters say they're mostly OK but I know one here who is an absolute jerk of the lowest order, I try not to let that tarnish my view of the entire group though.

I didn't realize that so many people responded to this one-- thanks to all of the polite ladies especially for commenting about me. I didn't check the forums for about a year...and since you ask, yes I am available! I feel like an incredible dork for saying that on a message board!

The very first fraternity party I ever went to was Theta Chi. I was a young, impressionable freshman at Western Mich. but I had one hell of a time and the guys seemed cool!

Me too. And look at where I ended up. Destiny? I guess.
