-Hijack-

I remember when Skeeter was simply a character on Nickelodeon's Doug, or a slang term for Mosquitoes. Now, it's a vulgar term.

There's an elementary school next to FIU that has a big mural painted on the facade that reads "Home of the Skeeters" with a big mosquito next to it... pretty amusing for us "young folks." :p

See, now that just shows MY age. By the time Doug came on, I was too old.

Everyone knows that "Skeeter" and her twin "Scooter" were characters on Muppet Babies. :p

Well... I never really saw Muppet Babies. :p

And I just went to the school's website, and it was built in 2000 for the College of Education. So that mascot is a little questionable. lol

Problem

Hi im a Jr. Kappa at my highschool we call our selves Kappa Psi we have jackets, stepshows (along with the sigma betas, phi omegas, delta gems, pink pearls, and the lil zeta) and times where we "cross over" new members.... the kappas around my area have no problem with it as long as we through up our sign and not thier's and respect them as the adults they are.....i think its a respect thing...... as long as we ACT RIGHT and keep our grades up we are good.....i decided to become a Jr. Kappa because in my opinion im a pretty boii and i stand for Knowlege and Neatness Kappas are smooth with what they do and sophistacated also i must admit i dont have the full understanding of being a kappa but when i do get a chance to go to kappa land i will make sure i return a kappa man

This is a fraternity that is quite popular in some areas.

Unfortunately, their official website is being "updated" so it is unavailable.

ETA: Here is one chapter's site http://www.mtsu.edu/~rhomeo/ and from there http://www.geocities.com/tru_rhomeos/history.html
