Come on....
Someone should front the newbie scholarship. Book her butt a seat on SouthWorst Airlines and fly her down to LA for the day. Shes only one of the most loved GC'ers on here and shes not even greek yet (well, she is in her heart anyway;) ) Since thers not a Northen cali meeting scheduled, yall should get here down there! i am sure she could spare a one day trip.

Cheesecake doesn't take reservations but we can do 12:30 as long as people don't mind waiting b/c the one at Fashion Island sometimes has quite a wait.
Of course, we can always go visit greenhouse or shop while we wait. |
I'm all for 12:30 on February 10, at the Cheesecake Factory in Fashion Island. I'm not much of a morning person, either...not that I really have the travel excuse, since I'm only 15 minutes from Fashion Island. It's a great mall, we'll definitely have no problem shopping if we have to wait...I think there's a Burberry purse in my future.
I'm a fan of the Double Chocolate Straight-to-Your-Thighs Cake, or whatever they call it. I just can't stand cheesecake...aren't I strange? |
So, how will we recognize each other? :)
We could all post pics here befroe Feb 10th or something...??? |

All my letters and t-shirts aren't fit for public viewing... being the old fart that I am they are between 12-15 yrs old.
:) Maybe we could all pin a red ribbon or something to our shirts? |
I'm a So Cal chatter right around the OC....
|
I'm in SoCal, as Amycat previously mentioned. I think Feb. 10 sounds fine for a get-together. At this point, I don't have any AKA-related matters on my calendar.
In terms of recognition, I would simply wear one of my colors. |
my idea
I have no pics to post, and I own neither a scanner or a digital camera
HOWEVER Do we all have badges? Or do at least some of us have badges? Why don't we just wear those, and those without can seek those who are wearing them. They're easy enough to spot...who the heck wears their badges to the Cheesecake Factory on an ordinary day anyhow, so little chance of a mix-up...and if we want to drink we can simply take them off and put them in our pockets or purses. I'm with Amycat, my one Kappa sweatshirt is, well, grody. And three sizes too big. |
I would be fine with letters or badges. Or maybe we should do what the Georgia GCers are doing...wearing something red?
I'll volunteer to keep track of a master list of who's coming. Everyone who's definitely RSVP'ing, please pm me or post. So looking forward to meeting everyone! :) |
Ahh I'll be out in La later this year . . . I would have loved to have met some of you:). Maybe you'll meet again:)_
|
James, we'll definitely meet again when you come out to visit. :)
|
I'll be there.
I'll wear something red--even if its just boots or my purse. ;) Letters--as I mentioned earlier mine are all 10+ yrs old and too shabby. Also, I am not sure if we have any non-greek/not greek yet So Cal Greek Chatters, but they wouldn't have badges or letters obviously. :) Amy |
Red works for me too.
|
Ok... so I sincerely don't own any red tops, sweaters, or pants. I am more of a nuetral palet girl. Haha. I am all for letters or badges. I think badges are subtle, yet recognizable. Sorry to create any issues. :) I don't look good in red. How about blue? I hate to be so narcissistic. Haha. ;) But hey, I can always go out and buy a red belt.
