Kind of crazy, isn't it?! GC has seen me through countless boyfriends, years of school, chapter drama, graduation, moving, chapter chartering....the list just goes on.

A while back - Mr. KDR and I had been together for maybe a year. I had a little too much wine with dinner and promptly logged on GC. He tells me to get off the forum before I embarrass myself. Without missing a beat, I drunkenly looked at him and said, "I've been on this forum since college. They know me."

Summer 2003 for me, though I do not post close to half as much as I did when I was younger, single, and not a step-parent :).

I'm not sure (posting will tell me when I joined), but I think it's been over 10 years for me. I don't post much, but I read often!

I lurk more often than not anymore, but still check in from time to time, especially around recruitment.

I still pop in from time to time...from March of 2002.

Fantastic! I was begining to think I was the only old guy left. It's great to see so many of you still checking in to GC. For those who mostly lurk, please let us have updates on what you all have been up to.

AltaVista- one of my best friends used to work for them, eons ago.

I've been here since April of 2001 and it's been a great ride, even though I go through periods of extended inactivity from time to time!

I've made some great online friends, Facebook friends and real life friends (Pittsburgh ladies, I'm looking at yinz).

I remember that I wrote a rec for a young lady who was going through rush at Alabama in September of 2001. She was preffing DZ and AOPi and her Bid Day was sometime around 9/11. She never came back to GreekChat and I never found out where she went!

I started reading in 2001, but didn't join until 2002...I posted a decent amount back then, b/c I preferred GC to law school work. Now, I lurk mostly, but check the expansion threads religiously. I do like a good recruitment thread too.

I think I'm one of the earliest members. October 2000. I was just a Sophomore in college. How life has changed....

Let's see, since I first joined GC way back in Feb 2002 (like lauralaylin, posting gave me my join date!) I've had two sons go off to college. One joined Lambda Chi Alpha and he's serving on their undergrad student advisory committee, the other chose not to go Greek. Youngest is a HS senior now deciding when he's going to college in a year--eldest brother hopes they may be Fraternity brothers one day. I've served AOII in a variety of local and international network positions, and currently serving as an alumnae chapter and Alumnae Panhellenic officer. Yeah, membership really is for a lifetime!
