Cheese Curds are great. It is worth a trip to Wisconsin just to get some.

Chopped liver pate.
Liver and onions.
Green River soda (the best!)

Add peeled slice cucumbers and refrigerate! It's an awesome, healthy snack in the summer.

Lol. The smells of both of them cancelled each other out, I guess. It was never potent after they had been soaking.

I have no idea. This was many, many years ago. I haven't made them in a while.

I make a pasta salad with goat cheese and balsamic. LOVE it. Pine nuts (or sunflower seeds), Farfalle pasta, fresh basil, and grape tomatoes. My favorite summer favorite!

Seriously! I can't believe how many people wrinkle their noses at the thought of this, but the American Red Cross needs your donations!

I can't. I pass out. :( Last time I donated blood, I passed out, and when I came to, I barfed all over myself. It wasn't pretty, and I was an EPA intern at a work sponsored blood drive, at that.

Cheese curds are huge in Ohio right now, especially at the festivals. They're even on the menu at DQ!

I'm partial to:
Ruffles chips on my PBJ sammich
Ranch dressing with chocolate chip cookies
Sliced hard boiled eggs on my BLT sammich

I grew up being force fed liver and gizzards by my parents and HATE them. Trust me when I say I was surprised to like them.

Head cheese. I finally had some recently and was very happy that I did!

M&Ms with Popcorn or Fritos rocks.

This is not even remotely in the same category as haggis or head cheese!

I really wish I could.. but I pass out and throw up. It isn't pleasant.

The last time I needed blood work done, I told the woman I didn't do well with all of this, and I'd probably pass out. She just kept saying, "You have such good veins.. the blood is pouring out of you." Um.. NOT helping!

My boyfriend is O-negative, so he tries to donate as much as possible. He has blood banks calling him ALL THE TIME, though.

One of my "don't knock it 'til you try it" things: tuna sandwich, bread toasted, with dill pickles and potato chips on it :)

WCsweet<3 08-02-2013 11:03 PM

Some of these have been said but:
Sushi (favorite food!!!)
Chicken hearts and gizzards
Donating blood
Crunch peanut butter and sweet pickle sandwiches
Not washing your hair every day (try it for six weeks, some types of hair look a ton better and healthier)
Popcorn and cumin
Uggs

I am, too. I get emails, postcards, and phone messages before every drive. The nice this is, they have O only drives now, so I like getting a heads up because there's never a wait at those. Another cool thing is that they now tell you where your blood went. I got an email that told me my last donation went to the hospital in Gaylord, Michigan.

There was a first timer on the table next to me, and he was not doing well. That's the first time I've ever seen that. My grandma volunteered at the blood drives and had pins for all the gallons she'd donated over the years. There used to be an age limit, and she was VERY disappointed when she couldn't donate any more. Whenever I donate, I think of her.

Not washing your hair for six weeks, or not washing your hair every day for six weeks?
