So far:
Arkansas 6 Oklahoma State 6 Oklahoma 9 Georgia 1 6 of mine are what I would call my "rec crew" since I know them very well. So excited for them! |
The year before my daughter rushed at Samford, one of the chapters had a statement on their website(worded more diplomatically then here) that: "while they appreciated receiving recs. from alumnae, more than 5 for any one PNM was not necessary." :-0
My crew so far: 4 for Bama 3 for UGA 5 for FSU 2 for Auburn 1 for South Carolina 2 for Tennessee |
3 former students
1 at UCMO 2 at Missouri State SIL's sister is still considering going through recruitment. I think the idea is growing on her. Hopefully the Greeks who help her move into her room make a good impression and seal the deal! |

I know that TCU has really focused recruiting efforts much further north in recent years. Best of luck to your to rec girl. Go Frogs! |

My breakdown: 3 FSU 2 UGA 2 Alabama 1 Tennessee 1 USCarolina 2 Clemson 1 LSU 1 Oregon ETA Just submitted a letter for UT and another for Alabama. |
I have two going to Kentucky and three going to Eastern Kentucky.

My rec crew thus far
1 at Clemson 1 at Alabama 1 at UT Austin I'm so excited for these girls! I hope they have wonderful recruitments! |
I have just one again this year - this time at Murray State. While I have know the PNM for years, I did not know how low her HS gpa was. I hope she finds a home, because she is a lovely young woman, but oy vey!
Anyone know how competitive Murray State is? Good luck to all of the young women! |

"Not particularly, but the chapters take grades seriously. All chapters there require a min of 3.0 HS to be considered. Hope she's not below that!"
She is. Hence my "oy vey". It is heartbreaking when you know a young woman would be great in any group, and then you get the grades.... She'll have a short recruitment, but I hope it doesn't leave her completely dejected. Hopefully, she has a good first semester and can COB in spring - there is expansion going on at Murray State - or go through again next year. |
I just received an e-mail "i (sic) am a sophomore at A&M and i (sic) want to rush chi o. How do I get a recommendation?"
I think I was a model of restraint. "Precious Snowflake - I suggest you ask women you know if they are Chi Omegas and would write you a rec. Bear in mind the deadline for recommendations for most sororities has passed." I resisted the urge to write anything more biting, but boy howdy did I think 'em! |
