Somehow your AGD plain badge seems a little too plain; much prefer your letters in their jeweled varieties. |

My daughter is rushing this fall so when I had some downtime at work earlier this week I went to the Herff Jones website and checked out the badges for the sororities that have chapters at her school. So many choices from plain to ultra-blingy! I admit that I was really drawn to the ultra-blingy ones but of course it'll be her choice, not mine.
LOL, there was one blinged out badge that I loved so much that I kind of want her to join that house so I can buy it for her (kidding of course...kind of!) but of course I'd never say that to her! |

This is our basic badge
https://www.hjgreek.com/assets/image...large/8577.jpg We released one this year for our centennial that has diamonds instead of pearls and the points on the compass are sapphire. It's really pretty, but I do love our pearls. |
I love the chased badges. I think they are just beautiful.

When I was initiated 15 years ago, this was the plain badge. This is actually my badge. https://www.hjgreek.com/assets/image...arge/10579.jpg Looking at the Herff Jones site, this is the "plainest" badge you can get. You get this one or you get blinged out. When I was an advisor I would say it was about 50/50 on blinged out to non blinged out. It isn't an insane amount in cost difference to get a blinged out badge. My original badge (above) was like 90 bucks (my parents bought it for me). It was about a 50 dollar difference to the roped badge (now the current plain one) and an even greater difference to get 4 point, alternating or full synthetic. |
I love this thread! More pics please! :)

An AEPhi alumna can gift her badge to a legacy (sister, daughter, or granddaughter) upon the legacy's initiation into AEPhi. It's the legacy's choice whether to wear her sister's / mother's / grandmother's badge or buy one of her own. This is the only situation where a new member is not required to buy her own badge. |
