There are families that have long lines of members with extra digits. They refuse to remove the supranumary digits because of tradition. Depending on whether or not there is a bone present, removal may be as simple as tying it off.

I've never watched this show; just chiming in to say that I believe the gene for having FIVE fingers on each hand is recessive. I once delivered a baby whose dad had extra digits, so they were expecting them on the baby. Looking at her in the warmer he said, "Honey, she's perfect! Eleven fingers and ten toes."

Kind of sad to watch this family disintegrate. Now June Shannon is allegedly in a relationship with a convicted child molester. Those girls may be in serious danger, especially growing up in an environment without a permanent father figure.

I do hope that her daughter is coping as well as can be with this news. I also hope that something is being done to safeguard her younger daughters.

I really hope that they aren't actually dating. At the very least shouldn't sugar bear be able to get their daughter out of there? If he is able. Thats not an environment a little girl should be having to deal with :(
