National History (brief version): Founded in 1991 at Northern Illinois University by 8 strong women who wanted a change in what they saw in Greek life at their school. Our Founders, known as the "Mommy Chi's", wished for a more diverse sisterhood founded upon the principles of Sisterhood, Cultures, Education and Success.

Thanks for your post Stan. It's nice to see that although you are not a member of any of the orgs. you listed, you still went out of your way to inform others about their existence at you campus. THAT is Greek Unity.

NS Gamma:

Our Southern California Step Team took 1st place ($1,000) in the competition. We also won the NALFO "Best National Community Service Award" for our TIJERAS Program (leadership and empowerment for middle school Latinas). I've been looking at NALFO.org and latinogreeks.com for a complete list of winners, but I don't think it's been posted yet.

Beta Phi Alpha was started in 1994 and has 5 chapters, also some Alumn chapters are about to get established. We already have a national board, but are not under the IFC or NPHC. But I would bet anything our governing board is much more strict.

We Did It!
 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Ladies of GAMMA ALPHA OMEGA SORORITY, INC. Charter at Humboldt State University for becoming the Pi CHAPTER! Currently, the first and only GAO Chapter in California.

We had started in October 2000 and now, 2 years/5 semesters later, we are an official chapter!!!!!
