The next morning I was invited back to 8 chapters. I didn't have a full schedule but I had enough for me to feel like chapters still wanted me. I was dissapointed because a few of my top chapters dropped me but I just had to remember that my top 2, pike place and yukon were still on my list.

Yukon I really loved this house again! They seem girly like myself but also like people who have a lot of values at the same time. I talked about my lilly planner with one girl which isn't very common to have in the northwest, so that was exciting.

Willow This chapter was pretty good. I did get double rushed and it seemed like the other girl outshined me in the conversation. I thought I still got in enough information about myself though.

Sumatra This chapter was better than the last round, but I still struggled to find a topic that both me and the girls I talked to were enthusiastic about.

Tribute This chapter went about the same as last time. Easy conversation but nothing that stood out the really ecited me.

Pike Place I loved this chapter again! Their philanthropy sounded really fun and they still gave off a sense of being able to balance fun and values. All in all these girls seemed a lot like me based off of how they presented themselves.

Holiday This chapter grew on me a ton today! I loved how their philanthropy is set up! Finding out about their philanthropy gave them a lot more depth and every girl I talked to seemed very sweet.

Breakfast All I wrote down was that it took a lot of energy to carry a conversation with the girl I talked to.

Kona The conversation seemed a lot harder to carry than the day before. I liked their philanthropy but it dissapointed me that the girl I talked to seemed very reserved.

I will tonight!

In the morning I was invited back to 4. I wasn't upset about the number of chapters I was invited back to but pike place had not invited me back. I was sad but I knew I still had yukon so I was mostly okay. I was just starting to doubt my own judgement. It felt like each day more of my favorites were cutting me and the ones that hadn't excited me kept asking me back. One that had started to grow on me also cut me, so I was just very confused. I forget the order but here are the chapters I went to.

Breakfast Again, I felt like all of my conversation here was pretty forced. Also, there were a few comments made that seemed to give off a vibe that they weren't as social as I wanted my chapter to be. I was really shy at the beginning of high school and the girls in this chapter reminded me of how I was back then, I didn't wan't to revert back to those ways, I wanted to keep growing as a person in the direction I was already headed.

Tribute I was starting to like this chapter a little more today. I had good conversation and in one of the rooms they even had taylor swift music playing! I loved that, I am a huge TSwift fan!

Yukon I really liked this chapter a lot. I loved getting a their house tour! The house itself wasn't amazing but I could see myself there and I had a ton of fun on the tour. It was hard to think of specifically why I liked them but I just felt comfortable here.

Kona I didn't feel a great connection with the girl giving the tour but I could start to see that there were plenty of girls in this chapter that were like me. I also like how their house was set up!

And even though I'm over 30 I still like TSwift, so yay Tribute!

The next morning was preference day! I really wanted to be able to go back to a full schedule of 3 chapters. I wanted to go to my favorite and then my 2 that were just so so. When I got my schedule from my rho gamma I only had two. When I looked more closely I saw that it was Tribute and Kona. I was really dissapointed to be cut from Yukon. I had liked them from the very beginning and I thought that there was a reason why the had stayed on my schedule while so many of my other favorites cut me. I also had two breaks in a row before I went to my first party... I didn't want any time to dwell on it. The only thing I was happy about was that I didn't have to back to Breakfast. I was going to stick with it though. I had told myself that I would always go all the way through preference and then decide if I wanted to join the ones I had left. I also didn't dislike either of the chapters that I got asked back to, they just didn't excite me as much as others.

After my breaks I went to Kona first. During there preference ceremony they really grew on me. The girl I talked was not awkward at all! They read letters that were really heartfelt and I saw girls tearing up. Then we watched video that showed a silly side to them. I loved being able to see the balance. While they hadn't been my favorite all week I could see myself being happy there.

Then I went to Tribute and talked to a girl who I had talked to 2 other times before during recruitment. We were still able to have a great conversation it hadn't been like we had run out of things to talk about! Their decoration were also very pretty but that was just an added plus. When the ceremony actually started the read a rho gamma letter and all sang a song together. Again, girls started tearing up. At the end I knew I also would be happy in this chapter even though they didn't stand out at the beginning either. They had also grown on me

Going to preferencing I had no idea what to do at first. Both chapters had not been on my radar at first and both really grew on me during this round. I talked to multiple people and my rho gamma. One girl in my rho gamma group had made a comment about how she remebered me saying that I liked Tribute. This took my off gaurd because I didn't really remeber saying that to her but I took note that someone else had noticed me liking them. When I talked to my rho gamma I also figured out that I had more consistanly like tribute than kona. I know that could count on Tribute to be full of girls who I could easily talk to based off of how all my conversations there had been easy. I also liked that tribute had obviously remembered me since I talked to one girl multiple times. At Kona I never talked to the same person once. I would still be happy with Kona but I ranked them...

The funny thing is that once I submitted my decision I really wanted to get the one I ranked first. The whole week hadn't seemed to go the way I had wanted it to. It seemed like each day I got cut from more of my favorites. For once I wanted it to be the time that I actually got asked back to the one that I had decided I liked the most. Panhellenic had really emphasized the importance of making decisions for yourself and I really wanted this decision I had made for myself to be worth it by Tribute being the one I would join.

I'm really glad you decided to keep going! Can't wait to hear how it works out!

The next morning I k=new I would be joining a sorority. If we maximize our options after preference day we a guaranteed a bid. I knew I would be happy with either one of the ones I put down but I really wanted recruitment to go my way for once and to join Tribute. We had a brunch with all of the pnms which had better food than the dorms! We also watched a video summarizing the week and found out what chapters our rho gammas are in. Mine is a Pike Place which I would have never guessed! During this whole thing we had to sit on our bids... when we were finally told we could open our bids I hurried to open mine and I accidentally ripped it a little... but I was happy because it said that I had been invited to join.....
