If they truly are potential new members then they don't know if what they're asking is wrong, stupid or offensive; it's an innocent question! I can't seem to wrap my head around why people are mean in their responses. If you want someone to join greek life, why give them a bad taste in their mouths from the get-go?

This is exactly what I posted about. Granted, mine had a higher word count. To the OP, don't let these board sway your judgement of Greek Life. For as many Debby Downers you will meet on boards like these, you will find twice as many nice and wonderful girls in Greek Life at your school. Some people are bitter and having a public arena where they can take out that bitterness without anyone knowing who they are.

Seriously?

This is not a mean thread.

I had to go back and look at your thread, because what? Apparently, I didn't care then and I don't care now.

I'm angry. I had forgotten about the Tide pods I bought at the store, and left them in the car. All day. Evidently, when subjected to hot temperatures, they melt. And of course, the container they were in was resting on its side, and all the melted pods leaked out of the container and onto the floor of my car. And yes, I'M ANGRY. Grrrrr...

At least it's a good-smelling mess.

CONSUMER ALERT! Does the packaging have any warning, or is a letter to the company in order? Now I'm letting my extended family know about this, they do a lot of wash with three young boys...

I'm so sorry. I have Tide Pods, and I love them. You are totally missing out. Now back to the regularly scheduled overblown not- mean at all-ness.

But wait...I wanted to ask a question about Tide Pods! Granted, it was the same question that had been asked many times before in the Tide Pods forum, but I'm special. Darn.... :(

Too bad...soooooo sad.

Now I'm back to  because someone let the air out of one of my tires. Seriously? Annoying. If I find who did it, I will be very Mean and Evil indeed.

What is this thread about anyway? I forget. Oh wait, it's about melted laundry detergent, right? I don't like Tide. It makes me itch. My special snowflake skin is too good for Tide.

And I actually forgot to eat dinner tonight and now it's too late to eat. More mad face.

No, mean girl...Tide Pods are just too special for you! :p

DubaiSis 05-08-2012 01:11 AM

If you were nicer, the Tide Pods wouldn't itch.

I'm too cheap to pay the extra for Tide Pods (or Tide in general), but now that I'm using a coin laundry down the hall, the convenience might change my opinion on that.

And some people REALLY need to get over themselves. There have been some unnecessarily snarky comments on GC from time to time, but none I've seen recently and certainly not with the most recent slew of upcoming fall rushees.

I just re-read the assignment of Meanie Brigade titles in the WDIFLSRN? thread. THAT was comedy.

Meh - it's my fault. I'm no stranger to writing letters when warranted, but I really feel like this was my mistake. These things are designed to dissolve/melt in a washing machine that probably reaches far lower temps than a hot car. Plus, if it's a dissolving issue, if only one of the pods burst/melted, it would dissolve the others it came in contact with. While I didn't notice any warnings on the packaging, it's common sense to remove potentially-melty stuff from a car on a hot day. I don't leave my lipstick in there, and I don't think there are warnings on lipstick packaging. So yeah, I take the blame for this one. Perhaps that's why it makes me SO ANGRY!!

Oh, I've already tried them. They're the bomb. I bought a smaller package so I could try them out before committing to the jumbo package (and, of course, Murphy's Law would dictate that the jumbo package would be the one to get destroyed). I love them. Between them and my Bounce bars, I don't have to measure anything, I don't get detergent/fabric softener spots on my laundry, and I don't have to worry about drips. Love it.
