Auburn's Recruitment Handbook is now available online.

Also Panhellenic has announced this year's bid distribution location.

I wonder how many girls have signed up for recruitment at Auburn this year?

One of my sources says 1,200, but said they added a bunch last week.
I've looked, and can't find the definition of "bunch." Maybe more than a "few" but less than a "pile."

Move in is one week from today.

Good luck with last minute packing, etc!

Does anyone have any idea how many young ladies are participating?

AUAZD2001 08-03-2012 04:48 AM

Recruitment at Auburn is so close the entire week is within the 10-day weather forecast!

Temperatures look reasonable for August in Alabama with the highest daily high only at 91°, though it is still early and that could change. But it looks like a high probability for storms each day.

I have a daughter going through recruitment next week at Auburn. I also have a daughter who is a member of a sorority at Auburn. The second daughter is of course interested in her sister's sorority but would also like to make her own choice. Just wondering how the other sororities view in-house legacies? Will it hurt her chances in other sororities?

Going through rush with sister in another sorority

It can hurt in other sororities. Or not. Or it can help if they want to show they can steal her. Or it might make no difference. She might want to have a pat answer, if asked, like, "I love my sister, but my aunt <probably not mother, SS teacher, next door neighbor> tells me I need to find the place where I fit."

Well, daughter is moved in and excited to meet her Pi Chi group this afternoon. I think that she is as prepared as possible-partly due to Greek Chat! They start bright and early in the morning. I reminded her to drink lots of water today and not to stay up late tonight. Now I sit back and wait-not my strong suit!

Yay! :)

Best Of Luck Future PNMMom, I hope your daughter enjoys recruitment and find her home

future pnmmom 08-07-2012 02:26 PM

Ugh-it's raining in Auburn today. Best of luck to all the girls! Daughter said that there are around 1200.
