Not to mention - what percentage of their "chicks" got their top choices, or come to that, bids at all?

eta - A young woman they feature on their website went AGD at Auburn. So there's that . . .

What are some of your favorite fashion websites? "I actually get a lot of stuff from Forever 21."

This site has to be a hoax.

Well, that is the girl I found on the Auburn bid list.

Not a hoax, honey. They are for real!

I guess my humour flew over heads. I didn't think girls from that HS would admit to shopping at Forever 21.

There are a LOT of Greek alumnae in the 'Ham. I think mutual suspicion is partly to blame...so many alumnae know the girls that there's not been a need...but then Atlanta's the same way and they have a strong alum panhel.
As I said, several groups are now in the process of forming a new alum panhel.

Birmingham had a very active APH until the early '90's. I was our delegate for a number of years. It died a slow death unfortunately. Several of us tried over the years to revive it but were not successful. A new lady moved to town who had been an APH member elsewhere and has finally gotten some groups motivated to join. I'd say about half the NPC groups have signed on at this point.

People pay for this?! I do it for free, but don't guarantee a bid. Sheesh, I could be getting rich from all this volunteer work and didn't know it.

Personally, I thought it was hilarious. :)

(And I'm shocked that I actually know what Forever 21 is)

Or that a girl from Mountain Brook would need a service like the biddies at all.

Or ever admit it if she did!

Maybe her family were all BAMA people and she needed some to translate to talk to the girls at Auburn? ;)

Titchou 01-15-2012 03:49 PM

But why on earth would be talking to "those people?"

Should I be completely embarrassed to admit how much I love Forever 21? :/

"rush biddies" makes them sound like fusty old women who haven't got a clue

bid·dy noun /ˈbidē/
biddies, plural
A woman, usually an elderly one regarded as annoying or interfering
- the old biddies were muttering in his direction
