Now, now- don't laugh too hard. You are "nasty and inebriated" after all, and I will point out that they are 7 miles closer to some form of civilization (Spokane) than you are. :D. Of course, you do have the mall (using the term loosely), Wingers, an Applebee's at least, and one of the few decent hotels (LaQuinta) in a 50 mile radius, so that gives you a slight edge in the civilization department I suppose. By the way, I think you should be offended that UofI didn't make the list. I mean, if the Boise State president calls you out on it that should be worth some points shouldn't it? Is it possible NO ONE is paying attention to him - gasp! ;) |

^^^^Yeah, same reasons as WSU. The scary thing (being serious for a moment here), is that at one time Idaho had a lower drinking age than Washington, so during Dad's Weekend at WSU, the Dad's would come down, take their sons over the state line to Idaho, drink with them in the bars or bar (no idea how many there are or were in Moscow) or buy alcohol for them, and drive back. How that didn't wipe out half the male population at WSU is beyond me. |

Aw, the good ol days. |
^^^Well, like to say that surprised me, but no....
Daughter got pulled over five minutes after a basketball game one night. She was still in her cheer uniform. She told the police officer as nicely as she could manage, "Uh, I'm in a cheer uniform and the game just ended. Do you think I went to the game drunk and cheered?" Apparently, they thought it was a possibility. Generally, though, she thought the Pullman police understood they were in a college town, and didn't go out of their way to arrest anyone unless they were obviously a danger to themselves or others. The Eugene police on the other hand....not so much. |

I do know that the Leach move means that many of us (me included) will make the trip to see at least one WSU game next year. I love Pac-10+2 football anyhow so it would happen with or without Leach... but now it's assured that WSU will be one of the teams I see. |

In addition, cheering, shockingly, actually requires some coordination (even at WSU), and I doubt she would have been able to pull that off drunk nor would it have occured to her to do so since she took her "job" as it were, seriously. But, if we are talking about WSU's basketball team last year, and you assume that because college athletes at MANY schools (pretty sure it isn't limited to WSU) drink and smoke pot (), they must also be drunk and high when they are playing, then I guess this http://www.espnnorthwest.com/article/2011/aug/01/vandal-wide-receiver-hatchett-arrested-dui/ would explain UofI's football season this year. :p. Sorry, I HATE going there, because my own team's had enough issues, but I still like WSU too, and you started it - LOL. |

In truth, it really wasn't that difficult, but I'm still certain she couldn't have pulled it off drunk. And don't mess too much with WSU or I'll be forced to use the plethoria of UofI material I have at my disposal which I am loathe to do because I really liked Moscow (thought it was an adorable town) and we had neighborhood kids who ended up playing football at UofI, so I like you guys too. Besides, we need to remember the common enemy....Boise State. :D |
