LOL, boy was that a disgusting mistake. We had an Aussie girl bring some in to Social Studies in 8th grade. Bleeeeeeeeeeeech.

And FWIW, Nutella isn't all that appealing looking either, but it gets a pass on that for amazing creamy deliciousness.

I think olives look great but they smell and taste disgusting.

No, they don't.
That is all.

Practically the only fish I don't like is mackerel...and it looks so great! It's shiny, silvery, just the prettiest fish. But then you eat it, and it tastes like swordfish that's been left outside in the rain for a week.

Pineapple and mayonnaise sandwich. Yuck!! I had one at a reception one time. It's such a strange, gross combination. Maybe it's because I'm a Yankee that I don't like it.

I'm pretty sure being a Yankee has nothing to do with it. That's just nasty.

I think a fresh tomato is a beautiful thing, until I take a bite. Oh, the slime! On the other hand, I will eat anything made from a tomato (ketchup, spaghetti sauce, salsa, etc.)

YES.

I absolutely hate tomatoes on burgers, salads, etc, but I love tomato-based foods (salsa, spaghetti sauce, etc). I used to refuse to eat ANY tomato products, but I've started eating them when they're cooked into pastas or other meals.

Oh my gosh. Same here, and people have told me how nutty that was. So glad to meet others!

Me too. I really dislike when restaurants forget my special order (sans tomato) apologizing as they take away the tomato-laden burger, only to bring it back minutes later w/out the tomato and thinking that somehow I'm not going to notice that big thin line of tomato slime left on my burger.

..but I'm over it. really I am. :)

I'm the same way, but I usually just take the tomato slime. I figure it beats the heck out of server saliva.

Coffee (this includes frapps, mocha anything, cappucinio, etc) and anything even remotely coffee related. I love the smell and it always looks good but it just tastes terrible!

In high school, I went on a marching band road trip. One of the places we ate at along the way was a buffet-type restaurant with tons of salad toppings, one of which was caviar. One of the girls I was with thought they were mini blueberries and loaded up a plate of Nilla Wafers, ice cream and caviar. Her reaction to that first bite was a good indication that her dessert looked like it would taste good (for the caviar-ignorant) but tasted pretty yucky.

I love the smell of hot dogs but hate the taste.
Every so often I eat one just to see if it tastes any better and realize they taste exactly the same as before... gross.

Same here. Only eat fresh tomatoes in guacamole with the slime removed and diced. Otherwise, can't eat them.
