The Office - "Dinner Party". So painful to watch but soooo funny! I'll have to spend a little bit of time thinking of my favorite Seinfeld & Scrubs episodes. |

Designing Women is in a class of its own: Designing Women thread, thanks to wrigley!
Maybe there should be a Seinfeld one, too |
Cheers: The episode when Woody sings a song for Kelly...and it's just the name "Kelly" in a loop.
Seinfeld: "You made out during Schindler's List?!" It's hard for me to come up with my favorite episode of a show that's still on... |
Ditto to whomever mentioned any Cosby episode involving lip synching!
M*A*S*H "Adam's Ribs" (and probably another 100 or so I could list, I adore this show) WKRP in Cincinnati "Turkeys Away" Designing Women "The Beauty Pageant" Not slightly a sitcom, but the "Puppet Show" episode of Angel is probably one of the funniest 44 minutes of TV ever. |
right now since my mind is on HIMYM (rewatching my dvds)
there really are way too many to name but: Swarley, Zip, Zip, Zip, Slapsgiving, The Plantinum Rule, The Naked Man, How I Met Everyone Else.... Ok, I think that is enough...I love this show.... |
I don't have a particular episode, but my top 5 sitcoms are:
Martin King of Queens The Jeffersons Happy Days Brady Bunch |

Mr. Gaines: The song, Woody! Woody: Oh, right. Kelly my darling, you are my sunshine; When we're together I feel fine. Your smile is so lovely; your hair is so clean; You make me feel that the whole world is mine. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, K-E-L-L-Y ... Why? Because you're Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, (pause) Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly of mine! (applause) Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, ... Mine! Kelly: Woody that was beautiful. Woody: You really liked it? Kelly: Oh, I liked it more than anything. Woody: Thanks. Kelly: So, where's my gift? :D Found it here: http://home.online.no/~espenas/cheers/kellysong.htm |

Did anyone else ever see Evening Shade? It had Bert Reynolds as the football coach of a small Southern town. The mayor's wife was Anne Wentworth, and when she was talking to a stripper, she said (paraphrasing), "My husband caught your act in Little Rock, and he said that you can get the one tassel twirling to the east, and the other twirling to the west. And I don't care what they say, that's a gift!" |

And did you ever see Filthy Rich? It was another Linda Bloodworth-Thomason series starring Dixie Carter, Delta Burke and Ann Wedgeworth, pre-Designing Women. They actually used one of the same lines in Filthy Rich and Designing Women -- Carlotta/Julia (Dixie Carter) to Kathleen/Suzanne (Delta Burke): "If sex were fast food, there'd be an arch over your bed!" |

Here's the entire pilot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqzJzjT1Lvw |
does anyone remember The powers that Be? i believe it was on for a only a year. a great show that should not have been cancelled. it starred john forsythe, holland taylor, david hyde-pierce and valarie mahaffey(who also played eve on Nnorthern Exposure), who i believe would have made a fabulous maris. it also starred joseph gordon-levitt.
speaking of joseph, what about Third Rock from the Sun? i loved that show. it is very hard to choose only a few episodes but i guess i would have to say the pilot was one of my favorite, as well as when they host thanksgiving dinner and when john cleese shows up. |

And while I have about 15 fave episodes of Family Matters, my favorite scene is when Stephan proposes to Laura at DisneyWorld. I memorized every detail of that scene, it was so beautiful (and I have no clue how he pulled that off). "Laura Winslow, you are the sun, the rain, and the wind that flowers my very soul. And I love you more than life itself. Will you marry me?" #melted |
