That's the way Delta Gamma works too. You are initiated at a collegiate chapter during one of their regularly scheduled initiations. You are then considered a member of that chapter no matter where you may have attended school.

She certainly could have worded it better but her lack of Greek experience is probably why she didn't.

I know my univerisities culture and know that things don't change that quickly. The upperclass quota is pretty dang new so while ladybug only said it wasn't as hard I find that to be misleading. To be quite honest wouldn't anything anyone said on here, outside of current greek women at Ole Miss, be considered hearsay?

So do you think that they keep all the indepent students in cages except for class and then there is a magical barrier keeping the greek students away? Do you think that the greek students can smell our independence and ran away screaming if we got too close? People talk and the attitudes are made very clear.

I'm not Jewish nor been in a synagogue for that matter. Does that mean that if someone askes me what kosher is then I can't give a general answer? No I've never taken kosher, but I have a good idea and can give general information.

Splash, I don't know who your bestie is but apparently she wasn't at initiation. There were 7 other girls who had gone through COB with me and I was apparently NOT a college student nor anyone that most of the women there knew so she couldn't have been there. I do know that if she is REALLY that concerned with this information it would take a very little amount of effort to ask ANYONE in the alumni chapter about the brand new AI that graduated from Ole Miss. I saw 2 of them last night. They're pretty clear on who I am. You can also tell your friend to just come to book club in a few weeks. It's going to be at my apartment this time and we're reading "The Girl with No Shadow." Can I be anymore clear?

I stand behind my advice. OP is going in with a disadvantage. The best thing to do is be prepared, read the forums, and put your best foot forward.

Well bless your heart. I tried to be nice. I really did.

I get that you have been a member of Delta Zeta for a whole 35 days and are super duper excited to finally be a member of an NPC sorority. The only thing you can speak of with any kind of authority is how to AI into your local DZ chapter. You are looking like a person who wasn't able to get a bid at an SEC school who AIed the minute she could and is now grasping at ways to make herself relevant to the collegiate experience. It's everything the people who disagree with the concept of AI object to.

In other words, you need to sit down and STFU.

Awwww. :(

Unless, of course, you want to tell us what happens when someone has "taken Kosher".

Drolefille 06-27-2011 10:04 PM

Kosher is not communion.

If we're too mean for you, you can take your ball and go home. I'm sure your 'nice' friends miss you on the other website. Funny that you only come (back) here after getting letters...

Sockpuppet. Should I start guessing what your real username starts with?

Since she seems to feel like it's ok to make personal attacks under that username and not her own, then it really should just be made public. Might as well be shitty with her affiliation and school named.

And yes that'd be the website that encourages AI like it's equivalent to recruitment.

DZTurtle11 06-28-2011 01:45 AM

Still not sure what is so controversial about what I said. Some how someone who didn't go to my university can say they have authority about said university? I gave very general honest information. There really wasn't anything in it that said I was trying to act like an authority on anything but Ole Miss, but really I think this has less to do with anything I said and more with you, Barbie's_Rush, finding your chance to bash the new AI. Bravo! Way to go.

Btw you are totally wrong but your story about my fictional life is creative I guess. Sorry but I didn't go through recruitment at Ole Miss because I was not 18 when I started school. I was already well aware of the rules/attitudes. Where I'm from most of this information is pretty common knowledge and not some super secret that only a certain few know.

The term "taking Kosher" is what my friend, who is Jewish, calls it. That is how she has referred to it on several occasions. You can take it up with her. No it isn't communion.

So once someone uses any other site then they should never come on here again? That's silly. I came on here to see if there were other DZ's.

For OP's sake I hope she finds info on going through and wish her the best. For me I'll continue to participate with my sisters and enjoying everything else in life.

DrPhil 06-28-2011 01:53 AM

What is Barbie's Rush's regular username? GC secrets are not fun!

Who is DZTurtle other than the new AI that Splash tried to call out?

/lane swerve...again....

Titchou 06-28-2011 07:30 AM

Since when is not being 18 have anything to do with recruitment?

IrishLake 06-28-2011 07:48 AM

And what website promotes AI and rainbows and ponies?
