I'm not sure that clothed pics, even ones showing donger bulge, really constitute "flashing" - but otherwise, totally agree, it's harassment and that brings its own unique problems.

Have there been worse since 2001? :p

Dude, Breitbart supposedly has full on nude boner shots of Weiner's weiner. That's what brought on this whole admission of guilt by Weiner. Breitbart threatened to release the cock-shot photo if allegations that Breitbart was the one who hacked into Weiners twitter acct continued to be made. Now did Weiner send those nude pics to unsuspecting women, or was it just the panty shots? I honesty don't know.

Sure I have political bias. Vitter broke the law. He was involved in a huge FBI sting and got off scott free. He also campaigned on a platform of being above all of this, which is laughable. In the end, he kept his job. I don't like what he did. I don't like what Weiner did, but my point is that Ghostwriter's assertion that "The Dems don't eat their own." is a little funny considering that Republicans have a reputation of not "eating their own" in these situations either. Watch it...your political bias is showing, even though you claim to be an independent.

I think Ghostwriter may be referring to the lack of noise fellow dems are making calling for Weiner to resign. It seems that the GOP is a little more proactive in getting rid of their embarrassments once they are exposed. At least lately. Like the Christopher Lee mini-scandal earlier this year. I called out your bias because it was unneeded here. You saying, "well what Weiner did isn't bad compared to what this one republican did ten years ago" is just dumb. I think this story can hold on it's own and doesn't need comparisons drawn between Spitzer or Vitter or Clinton or whatever politician. You shouldn't give the guy a pass because of his politics.

BluPhire 06-07-2011 03:34 PM

^^^ All fun and games until politics are questioned.

LOL

Reminds me of earlier this week offline.

Vitter was only 4 years ago, and I was making a specific point regarding a pointed political comment that Ghostwriter made. BTW, Christopher Lee was a Freshman rep with no clout who was reportedly sending these photos to a transexual. I'm sure they jumped on that really quickly to try to avoid that little tidbit from getting out. Not one time did I condone what Weiner did, so you can jump off my ass. I know you like it up here, but you are not welcome. I didn't give anyone a pass. I actually said that each party tends to circle the wagons when it suits them or hang them out to dry when it suits them. Trying to pretend like the Republicans clean house more than the Democrats when scandal comes their way is preposterous or as you like to say "just dumb."

Did not know this part (obviously) - bizarre, but hilarious.

Granted, I don't know of any Democrats who have called from him to resign. But, Minority Leader Nancy Polosi called for an ethics investigation. Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, Rep. Steve Israel, Sen. Harry Reid and most other Democratic legislators who have commented on the situation could hardly be called supportive of Weiner these days.

And given where Ghostwriter lives, he should remember how just a few years ago the (then) Democratic-controlled State House of Representatives expelled a Democratic legislator for ethics violations before making generalizations like "Dems don't eat their own."

It's pretty simple -- Democrats, Republicans and members of any other political party are, as a general rule, going to do what they think is the politically expedient thing to do.

Interview with Breitbart. He mentions the x-rated pic near the 5 minute mark.

all the politicians only resign when they're going to be found guilty of ethics violations or when they are coming up for election soon. I can name a handful of GOP members who didn't resign just like I can name a handful of Dems who did, AND vice-versa.

My amusement usually comes because it's family values candidates that get caught with a rent boy at the airport.

Hey now, the Public Crapper Toe Tapper was not caught with a rent boy. He got caught trying to solicit an under cover officer and his stance just happens to be real wide. Oh and there was a recent indictment for someone who happened to father a child and allegedly use campaign money to cover it up, while his wife was dying from cancer.

I always feel bad for the wife/husband/partner and/or kids when these things happen. Perhaps there was an agreed upon arrangement or they knew, and now everyone knows and they can't deal with it privately.

There's a transcript of one of his chats, it is really sad when they are having facebook message/chat sex, BARF. http://www.radaronline.com/sites/rad...atermarked.pdf The last two messages from her are full of the lulz.

No the rent boy guy was a pastor anti-gay guy I think. Point is, the hypocrisy is what gets me, generally, not the cheating or the homosexuality or whatever, it's the hypocrisy.

I don't even care enough about the Wiener thing to read the transcript. Not worth it.

tld221 06-07-2011 09:48 PM

OMG this transcript is just...

...i dont even have WORDS. i've heard better dialogue on Degrassi TNG.

ETA: I wanna call shenanigans on this "transcript." It reads like a pair of 13 years olds in the days of AOL. A/S/L/pic/cyber?

There was a segment on the radio earlier talking about how men who strive to gain power or thrive in powerful positions are more inclined to cheat on their wives. There really are some women who are more attracted to the power their husbands weld than the man himself, so maybe it just comes with the territory to some of them.
