I'm so glad this ridiculosity is over...for now.

The first few "the world can't end! My soup doesn't expire until 2013!" jokes weren't that funny to begin with. Having to read another 20 similar jokes just started getting on my nerves.

I've been reading the reports of people who screwed themselve over thinking they wouldn't be here today. People who blew all their savings and accrued thousands in debt trying to fulfill their bucket list and give their kids a "last vacation." Now, they're still here with credit cards maxed out and don't know what to do. What broke my heart are the ones who EUTHANIZED THEIR PETS because they didn't want their dogs/cats left here alone after they were taken up. I'm not sure how many poor animals died because of this madness but hearing about it period was too much for me. :( :mad:
