I don't think we should jump on this poor guy because he asked a question. Ghettobacon, it really is a matter of being voted on by Panhellenic. DrPhil, you raise a good point that sorority should not be the same as "NPC" but, sadly-that's how some people look at it. We (Greeks in general) need to change that kind of thinking. We need more unity-building types of activities.
Ghettobacon, you should consider talking to any of your friends in Panhellenic. I can understand why a guy in a fraternity (which I assume falls under the IFC on his campus) would want more sororities for social functions. That makes sense. Hopefully, if sororities are bursting at the seams at Rutgers, there can be an expansion. Talk to some of your friends about the possibility but, there is really nothing YOU or I can do about it. It has to be voted on to even consider allowing other NPC sororities on campus. I hope that helps! |

I agree that he could have taken it to Greek life but, I think we may have all been a little bit too harsh to this guy. As far as living for the next 100 years (when you figure out how to do that-let me know, lol), I agree that you should respond with that belief we need to respect the other councils. I wish more people thought like you, on this matter. Hopefully someday more people will start recognizing that Greek life encompasses more than just the NPC and IFC. I sincerely hope it happens. |

Nah, gotta be hard on people when they dont use gc as an absolute last resort to getting their question answered and don't use the most politically correct way of phrasing their quesiton.
