I felt the same way until I remembered that Osama isn't the first person whose death made me Praise the Lord--or feel apathetic.

Guy just held up a sign:
GWU Tuition: 42K Dorm: 10K Finding out that Obama is Dead: Priceless I know what you mean - I don't feel like rejoicing at anyone's death. I'm praying about the response around the world. The news is saying that his son is dead, too. |

^^^Re: the above typo, a Fox News affiliate station ran "OBAMA DEAD" as their bottom ticker this evening.
EPIC TYPO FAIL. |
Yikes.
Those who were criticizing Obama's name during the campaign are like "I told you so!!!" |

They've had almost four years of campaign and presidency to screw up the Obama/Osama 'thing' and no longer have any excuse. |

The war still should not have taken place.
This will only emboldened enemies and further embroil us in Middle East imperialism. It's clear that Obama has stayed on the war-track of neo-conservatism. The fact that we hunted for a guy who had some role in 9/11 is unbelievable. The people directly responsible for the attack died in the attack. |

As with the "war on drugs," the drug mules and street drug dealers who overcrowd this nation's prisons are not slowing the drug trade. The drug mules and drug dealers are intentionally unimportant and easily replaced. When they are arrested or die, other people are put in their place. That's because the real power and resources are at the top level. Those are the people who will not be caught for drug possession and drug dealing. Those people are the reasons the drug trade is pervasive and evasive. Those are the people who need to be caught...if industrialized nations aren't sleeping with the enemy and making some type of profit from the drug trade. |
So, understandably so, the media is milking this until the nipples fall off.
The Early Show addressed who will take Bin Laden's place and what the next threats to world safety will be. In other words, as many of us already knew, the general American public and government officials do not think that the threat is over because Bin Laden is supposedly dead. MSN has an article that I found interesting: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42878144/?GT1=43001 http://msnbcmedia2.msn.com/j/MSNBC/C...b.grid-6x2.jpg When I saw those 3 bruthas on there, I thought "Pookie, sitchoassdownsomewhere!" Yeah...intentionally silly response for a serious topic. Because.... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42864812...bar/?gt1=43001 |
