i was embarrassed for some of the women, they obviously decided to post their immediate, sorely disappointed response instead of stepping away from the keyboard and reconsidering how they were representing their orgs.
one girl said something like, "Wtf, bribes (referring to a joke made in the video)? (sorority) ladies are obviously way too classy for this competition," while another said something to the effect of "There goes my Lilly loyalty for life." Really? Did you say the same thing when the last four prints were actually chosen arbitrarily instead of by a fair vote? smh |
I saw IrishLake's comments on the Lilly thread and was just tickled. At least we can agree on something, when she's not giving me a beating on Zuma Blitz.
Personally, I wonder just exactly what Lilly can do with black and gold. I'm hoping for a black on black shift of some sort that women of any age can wear. Pansies, not so much. Kites? *shrug* I'll just be interested to see what the design team creates. I wouldn't mind a purse or tote bag or something of the sort. Some of the disgruntled comments were ludicrous. For the love of Mike, it's a clothing line. It's not brain surgery or a Rhodes Scholarship. Kappa Alpha Theta restricts the use of our greek letters to a very limited number of applications/contexts. So, I was surprised to read above ^^^ that Delta Zeta letters were incorporated into a print. Then again, each GLO has its own policies. |

AzTheta, if you look at all of the Lilly sorority prints, they all have letters on them (Tri-Delta, KD, DZ and Kappa). A friend of mine has a Kappa tote, and it's stinkin adorble.
I don't know if the next sorority prints will just be accessories, like what's available now. I'll get myself a tote, and my sister something smaller in the DG print. http://www.lillypulitzer.com/accesso...dgift,sorority (Zuma is my addiction!!!! I didn't think I'd beat you this time. lol, I'm still not even in my top 5. I blame it on having a laptop!) |

Buy the Murfree scarf and make letters from that fabric.
Sidenote: I was browsing at the Goodwill in a nearby town the other day.... SCORE a Lilly girls dress in my daughters size for $7!!!!!!!!! Perfect condition, and its yellow, so it looks perfect with her tan skin tone and blonde hair. She loves it! |

That would make a lot of letters though. Have a bunch of sisters chip in!
Er.... or something. |
While I was disappointed that I will not be sporting a pink and brown Murfee with crescents and carnations, I'm over it! The best part of the whole thing was I spread the news to my entire chapter, and many of them were not Lilly fans. As a Lilly lover, I'm thrilled with my converts :)
In other news, the gals who want Lilly letters should check out jennabenna.com. They have a great selection of Lilly fabric, and the prices are pretty reasonable! I'm not going to pretend I won't order a shirt for law school, since I willed down all my t-shirts to younger girls in my chapter. |
