The verdict is in...
According to Allstate's annual report, Washington D.C. has the most accident-prone drivers. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dr-...ers_worst.html Quote:

I think another problem with the drivers around here is that people often drive in areas where they just aren't comfortable. For instance, I'm good with everything DC and NoVA. Anything in MD? I have no idea where I'm going. Where I used to live in other cities and be comfortable with the city and the surrounding areas in kind of a concentric circle, and stay in that area for the most part, people are forced to go in different areas almost every day around here, it seems.
And I love it when people make a left from the right lane and vice versa. |

After driving in Miami and all of the major cities in Texas, nothing phases me.
I'm about to drive through rush hour traffic in Dallas and will end up in Austin, one of the most congested cities in the country. Lucky me. |
When people try to order while on their phone. Whether I'm in front or behind the counter this really gets to me, especially today. One lady told me what she wanted but it took forever for her to realize that she hadn't paid yet. She was holding up quite a line and my manager eventually got her attention. Then she got mad when she wanted her drink Decaf and sugar free and we had to remake it. I usually ask, but didn't want to be rude *cough*, and interupt.

Worst drivers ever: Puerto Rico. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone use a turn signal there. I also saw a guy backing up on the highway once.
My pet peeve: Too much PDA. I really hate people making out in public. I cringe when I see a couple walking down the street with their arms around each other. I'm cool with hand holding and small kisses, but that's about it. I also hate when friends get too touchy feely. I remember being in class in high school once and this girl was giving her friend a back rub during class. It wasn't a massage, she was just kinda tracing her fingers up and down the other girls back. Ugh, it's making me super anxious just remembering it. |
When toilet paper hangs from the front. I need it to hang from the back because, in my mind, it's neater that way. I have changed it in other people's homes before, and understand that this is insane.

Grammar. I know I'm not perfect but COME ON. There's no such phrase as "could of." He does NOT talk about "hisself" too much and if I hear "I seen it" one more time, I'll cut somebody and then Jesus will be angry with me so don't make me do that! |
*Open room doors. If I am in my bedroom, the door HAS to be shut. Not cracked, not open. Shut. *PDA other than holding hands. *PeOPLe wHo TypE LykE ThiS. *People talking about money all the time--whether it's how much they have or how broke they are. I was sort of raised to think it was rude. *When I have plans and people wait to break them until the DAY of said plan. *When people say "I listened to ______ way before it was popular" or any other form of music snobbery. So what? What are you, 15? *When people say "OMG I hate DRAMA." Chances are good that they are the cause of all drama in their lives. *Misuse of the words alumnae/alumna/etc. You are not an XYZ Sorority alum or alumni. You are an ALUMNA. *Kids crying in restaurants. I have asked to be reseated when a kid was screaming in the next booth. Yes, that makes me a terrible person. *Kids misbehaving anywhere and their parents ignoring them. I cringe when I see a kid knocking over a display in Target & the parents ignoring it. *LOUD NOISES when I don't expect them. Ex: I know that concerts are loud. Cool. But I don't expect kids to blow airhorns in WalMart (true story.) I nearly jumped out of my skin. |
