momof4girls, I like you. :)
I think it is awesome that you're helping your daughter plan her recruitment wardrobe and you're thinking early so you can watch for sales and see what is already in her closet! |

Also since you have so much time consider ordering online...especially since you say it's a pain to go shopping. Just check out websites' shipping policies because I've been surprised lately at how many have deals like free shipping over $75 or flat rate shipping and free returns. Free returns are the best. I'm a huge fan of shopping online when I've got plenty of time to send things back and exchange them before an event because there are so many options compared to what I can find in stores, especially size-wise. |

Actually, we do shop quite a bit online. We've had very good success with clothing, but not as much success with shoes. Of course, her idea of shopping online is finding something on a website and then traveling an hour and a half to the store to try it on.

Slight hijack but info for Momof4girls: best shoe shopping online imo is Zappos. Free shipping, free return shipping and 365 day return policy. Hard to beat that! When both daughters were still at home, the UPS guy was always stopping at our house!

Also try Rue La La - you have to join, no fee, but everyday they have a sale - today is Stuart Weitzman, tomorrow someone else - all high end designers and at RIDICULOUSLY discounted amounts - like $500.00 shoes for $150, etc.
