Oh sorry. I should have explained that better. Yes we don't have separate nights for skit nights and pref. They do it in one night. So the houses you get for skit night are the last houses you see before you submit your bid card.

I'll just add the last installment now! Also I know that I wasn't too specific with what house I put down, but that's because I wanted to add some form of suspense....

That morning

This morning was like Christmas. I could hardly contain my nerves. I was super nervous and doubtful and almost regretful. Should I have put down Jasmine? Maybe I would have been able to connect with them. I hoped that Ariel really liked me and would choose me, but I told myself that everything would be okay if they didn’t. I kept trying to imagine different scenarios and how I would handle the phone call. It started to get late in the morning. I still hadn’t gotten my phone call. I was starting to get nervous. I was texting my mom in anticipation being like “I can’t wait anymore!” and “I’m SO impatient”. She kept telling me it would be okay and just to calm down. Finally, I was about to give up, but then I saw an unknown number calling me. I nervously answered the phone. I figured I didn’t get a bid if they were calling me so late. To my utter surprise and excitement though, the person on the other line said, “Hi *****, this is ******, I just wanted to inform you that you received a bid to Ariel. Would you like to accept?” I screamed yes into the phone and started jumping around my room. She then told me to meet at the house in a bit and to make sure I looked nice. When we got to the house we were given our formal bid invitations and other wonderful bid day celebrations occurred.
Note since this is the local sorority, I am not going to announce it on this board but if you are curious, please let me know and I will PM it to you. Also I have to say that I am so happy with my decision. It’s been an incredible few days. I love all the new friendly faces I see walking around campus. I love walking into the house and noticing that there are people who are excited to see me. I am so proud to be an Ariel.
