Eh. Its all in how you take it. Being irresponsible is a part of growing up. I think the point was to go far out there and not just talk about sex, making love or anything nice. Thats why she was on the whole "not every story is a good one" spiel on youtube. Sometimes the story is like this one. I kind of like that she didnt do the whole im soft and danity and a lady and Ive grown up (think: Brittany Spears "not a girl not a woman" and then being a sex slave). She went there to say Im grown, I party, I drink, I have amazing sex, I feel shame about the stupid mistakes, but Im me and Im cool with it. She didnt feel the need to shy away from the topic and be demure. She straight up said I had a drunk one night stand that I dont totally remember but damn it was good.

Actually those songs were both on the same CD and "I'm a Slave 4 U" was released before "I'm Not a Girl"...so technically she was a slave first.

Cheetah Girls is a popular children's novel series about 4-5 black/mixed-black girls in early middle school who sang in a singing group that were MUCH younger than Disney made them out to be in the films. They were not created by Disney.

Like I said I didn't even know about the books before today. And wasn't one of the Disney ones white IIRC?

Yes, in the movie (I'm not quite certain what IIRC means) one of the characters is made white. In the books ALL of the characters are black, black and white/Italian, black-hispanic, etc. The point of the book was a book black girls could see themselves reflected in as there was not a lot of literature in the mainstream aimed at that demographic. Disney saw fit to tamper with the characters because God forbid there was not a white girl (although they never make it clear, at least not to me, but I believe she's supposed to be mixed-latina). I'm also pretty sure they cut one girl/character out, but not 100%.

ETA: They DID cut a Cheetah Girl from the film

They cut Raven, who was a faux-Cheetah anyway.

You misunderstand me. In the novels there are 5 girls. In the first movie there are only 4. Hence a girl was "cut". Later on for the 3rd film Raven is cut because she no longer wanted to participate but I was not referring to her absence.

Soooo I saw this video on youtube and the problem with this video isn't that it portrayed something that sadly is the typical night for some young women. The problem is that she did it in a manner that appeared to be condoning, it making it seem like acceptable behavior! If the song would have had a message of regret or showed some of the the self esteem problems, stds, unplanned pregnancies, and all those other things most overly promiscuous behavior will get you that would have been one thing. But she just did a skanky video with a smile on her face and all she could say was "I was so drunk, I don't even know this guy's name or if he used protection. But the sex was spectacular and I'd do it again!"

Next rant: Whyyyyy was it so low budget?! It looked like it was filmed on an old raggedy 3 mega pixel digital camera! And the guy was ugly!

Ahhhhh....you just gotta love all the wholesomeness that Disney has cranked out over the years, hm?
