Sorry. I guess I should have said that she pm'd me complaining that I don't make our organization look good, or something like that. She proceeded to tell me about where she and her husband went to school and how her husband can't find a job. I don't even know where that came from. I don't really care about what she and her husband are up to. I don't know them. I never asked.

LatinaAlumna, normally, I would def. agree with you on the fact that you shouldn't have an argument in an open forum because (you are right) it does look like a poor reflection on your organization. I was just disturbed that this random person, whom I have never met, first pm'd me (out of nowhere) and then her first thread is about me. Creepy, if you ask me.

As far as threads she is talking about (the OP), she is talking about threads where I posted my opinions regarding healthcare, the job market, etc. This entire thread is a joke and sort of pathetic (on the OP's part).

Cool... she can apologize for herself!! Good girl!

Was she the lone crier?

No, it wasn't.

Some people actually do care how others on the boards make their orgs look, especially when the org is posted in their signature. It doesn't matter if you or whoever wouldn't judge a whole org based on one member, but there are reasons why we have rules against doing certain things in letters. Constantly dissing sisters in public while publicly displaying the organization name is disrespectful to our letters.

I'm sorry, but anyone who forms an opinion of Phi Mu based on the interwebz is not smart, and probably doesn't belong in college.

You won't make everyone give a shit about what you give a shit about.

Did you ever think of the potential Greek members who visit the boards? They don't know any better. Plus many of our organizations have high up Nationals officers who lurk. Some wouldn't care about that, but I do. There's a way to express your opinion without disrespecting and putting others down.

On GreekChat no one will hear you cry.

...nor care

This whole thread is pathetic.

The OP should never have posted it (honestly, SO uncalled for), and even so, als should never have responded. The whole topic would have been allowed to die (as it had for the past week or so).

To PM Mama:

als463 has been given too much power. Laugh at her, scoff at her, tell her to fuck off if you must...whatever floats your boat and finds your lost remote. Aspirants who are turned off by her are young and foolish--you all will have thousands more to take their places. National officers who lurk can contact als463 via PM if they care so much and have nothing better to do with their time.

More importantly, if members of Phi Mu on this board really care about this beyond just a couple of Phi Mu posters' opinions, I suggest that they congregate somewhere other than on the main board if they don't want outsiders' opinions on the matter.

Oh, I don't care if outsiders give their opinions. And you're right about not being able to make someone care about what you care about. It happens all the time on the internet and real life. I just don't like someone acting like an ass with our letters in their sig. My point in that one post was that we aren't supposed to drink in letters and so on... you get it.

My opinion:

If your rule book covers Internet posts (some protocol books do), send the reminder to als463 and wash your hands of it.

I honestly didn't know she was a Phi Mu until you commented to her about it one day--I may've thought she was a ZTA because of that ZTA thread (LOL). That's how much some people pay attention to what orgs most usernames are in. Signature or no signature.

The pot calling the kettle black, perhaps? I would also have to say that by telling another GCer "Godspeed Asshole" you didn't make our organization look that great, either. There, I guess we are even.

Maybe you could stop creating sockpuppets like the OP to get your point across. It is creepy and weird.

Is there any way to get this whole thread deleted? This is just beating a dead horse. It was stupid and the fact that a "sister" feels the need to keep complaining about someone shaming her organization (when she hasn't always been the best reflection, herself) seems like a waste of a GC thread. I should have done what LatinaAlumna and Theta said and not even responded but, it is too late. I'm almost sorry that I did.

DaemonSeid 03-29-2010 06:54 PM

The fact that you are keeping this up doesn't make your org. look bad, it makes you look bad and and just furthers the fact that you don't have anything else to do but to keep shit going on in an internet forum.

Don't you have some students to tutor, necklaces to talk about or other 'busywork' you could be doing?
