I would really like to be in or start a Sorority... YES!! I have read all of the posts and threads on the topic... and I will take all those comments into consideration, But the thing is I live in New Zealand?!

We do have a few Sororities at some of our Main Universities, But I'm not actually attending any of them, I'm hoping to attend a Private School!

I have done research on many College (U.S) Sororities.. Well what they let out on their Websites anyway!? And I totally Know Sorority life is not all Glitz and Glamour like Hollywood paints it. But I really Respect the Sisterhood of Sorority life and find "The Philanthropy" (Please excuse the spelling error!) of different organisations to be interesting!

Anyway, I have 5 Questions?!

Would anyone recommend that I start a Sorority?!
If so, Does anyone know of any International Organisations that I can maybe go through to get guidance from?!
If there is No international Org. to go through are there any BASIC tips to get me Started?!
if the Sorority is not on Campus Grounds.. what do you call that kind of Sorority?
Is there like a age requirement for Sorority life?!

Any advice is Good Advice at the moment.. again I apologize for my Ignorance on Greek Life.. But I'm Learning a lot already?! :)

I thought I would get some help on this site. But I guess that this Forum is exclusive to already Know-all sorority and fraternity Braaz and Siidahs!! Sweet as.. we'll just buy a house slapp on some greek letters and BAMM "Sorority"! Nahh, aint that durr.. Would be good if it was as simple as that though!!! I used to blame Greek until I watched it and it fell in love with the show. Now I can't bring myself to blame it for anything anymore

Firstly I must apologis(z)e for that shocking representative from New Zealand! We aren't all like that.

A few of us have been looking at starting a sorority in Wellington (the Capital) and have found this forum so helpful! From this thread alone was the great idea to contact the local American Women's network. Thanks for all your help so far! :)

Being aware of the distance and the logistics involved, we are pretty sure that we won't be able to become members of an American sorority, but it isn't going to stop us becoming "Greek"!
