^^^When I went through rush, my room mate chose not to. She helped me to get ready for pref (my "stylist"), and was so excited when I got a bid that she went out and got me a card and flowers. She went through rush the following year, but dropped after Round 2. At that time, her cousin was a Fuzzy; she was also AXO legacy and her sister ended up Phi Mu several years later. Joining a chapter was probably not in the cards for her since she ended up taking 12 years to graduate.

Sorry everyone. I’m in grad school now and very busy with classes.

Epilogue

When I look back on my experience sometimes I wonder if I had more knowledge going into recruitment if things would have turned out differently. What would have happened if I had not listened to Jails advice, if I had references and if I knew more women from different chapters? The thing is, even if I did it all over again, I wouldn’t trade my experience in Thimble for anything in the world. I am so glad I went through recruitment with an open mind. If I had been closed minded and unwilling to give Thimble another chance I would have missed out on such a great experience. I became very active and involved in Thimble, and had great pride in my sisterhood. Thimble helped me grow and mature into the strong women I am today. If I had joined another sorority on campus I don’t think I would have had the opportunities to be involved like I did in Thimble. In Thimble I was the PR chairman for a year, Day 3 assistant recruitment chair, pledge mom and the RA for our housing my senior year. I loved participating in all of Thimbles events and always did my best to be a great representative of Thimble. I had an incredibly awesome pledge class filled with girls that I became such great friends with. My pledge class cared a lot about Thimble and did a lot to improve our stereotype on campus. We worked hard to build our sisterhood and to encourage our sisters to be active Thimbles. In my four years Thimble did a lot to gain more respect from other organization and greatly increased our visibility on campus. We started a charity event on campus that has become a campus staple. We were the smallest group on campus and struggled to reach quota but we continued to recruitment wonderful women that also became very involved in Thimble. Thimble continues to thrive at Monopoly University and I can honestly say the pledge classes get stronger every year.
Oh and the lame Day 2 skit was changed the next to a Broadway theme, it was SO much better.

To sum up my advice for PNMS-
*Go through with an open mind
*Prepare yourself for cuts (being released) because they happen
*Wear comfortable shoes, don't wear brand new shoes, just don't
*Don't listen to what others say
*Be yourself
*Remember it only takes 1
*Keep your grades up

I am very proud to say that I am a member of
