Virtually everyone posting in this thread recognizes her campus and has done nothing to out the campus, any particular chapter, or the PNM. Everyone has been nothing but positive about the campus and the chapters. |

I am curious if the OP will come back and let us know how things turned out. form what I have seen on other threads, it looks like recruitment has been very successful!!

Well, if the group she didn't like is who some people think, it doesn't look like they would be missing her if she chose not to add them to her pref list. Not to mention, with more than 80 women in a pledge class, I think ANY woman can find other women to bond with.

Even if you "suicide", you have the SAME chance at getting a bid to your #1 as anyone else who listed ALL of their pref choices. The only difference is that I believe "suiciding" makes you ineligible to be a quota addition (if the school utilizes them). So you have the same shot at getting #1, but the risk is high because if you DON'T get a bid to #1, you get released from recruitment with no bid at all. That's why Rho Chis and such discourage it. |

When you ISP you must be high enough on chapter #1's bid list to get in before they fill up to quota. On the other hand, if you maximize your options and your campus guarantees a bid when you maximize your options, then you could end up in chapter #1 through quota additions if you are not high up enough on either #1's or #2's bid lists. That's why I was saying I thought your chances at getting a bid to #1 are higher because you have a second chance at getting the bid. Or am I misunderstanding something here? |

Listing all the groups for which you are eligible increases your chances at getting a bid, but I don't know that I'd focus on it raising the chances to any particular one, since I don't think any campus guarantees that you QA to your top group. |

Thanks for your confirmation too, KSUViolet06. I love puzzles and being an adviser for several years really got me thinking about some of the odd statistical situations that sorority recruitment can create. |
