This is a serious question, lol.

I usually see a bunch of folks during the summer months/break.

But let me swerve back into my lane. I've been driving here too long as it is lol

That to me seems like an incredibly arrogant thing to say and she said it not once or even twice, but three times.

PreciousDiva88 08-13-2009 02:20 AM

Its not arrogant its called FAITH! hence my sig. "WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE". Im not saying that Im going to become a DELTA tomorrow but I do know that if I strive for excellence I will eventually achieve it, and with GOD on my side I can do ANYTHING:) also the title of this post is??? you catch my drift... MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

PreciousDiva88 08-13-2009 02:26 AM

An intresting quote I just ran across, " ΔΣΘ is not just letters, parties, and good times. It is a feeling that will never leave you as long as you live. It is a responsibility and a duty to yourself and your sisters. It is an eternal love. Letters TODAY, leaders TOMORROW!....Another reason why Im still SO VERY HOPEFUL:) MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

LOL at this poster!!!!!! http://www.pledgepark.com/images/smilies/laughing.gif

Wow...you really missed a lesson in your english class about TONE... lol!

Which alphabet do you own, since you said "My letters"? English? Celtic? Phoenecian? Arabic?

Its nice to have faith for the goal you have... but humility is really great to show on a consistent basis as well. You had like 0.0001% of it in your first post in this thread, and then you jumped bad when you felt that my sorors were messing you over in their initial answers.

If you could not fill in the blanks after reading "A Torch to Guide You" in this forum AND the FAQs on the NHQ website....then yes, you need to put on a tin foil hat, and sitchoassdown.

PreciousDiva88 08-13-2009 02:51 AM

Hence the title of this post, "STILL SO VERY H-O-P-E-F-U-L"! Maybe I should've made that my sig:) and as for your sorors "some" are very questionable, like ive mentioned in an earlier post this is the INTERNET where people can "be" ANYTHING they want:) MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

PreciousDiva88 08-13-2009 02:54 AM

AND THIS IS IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM DISRESPECTING YOUR SORORITY, THAT IM SO VERY HOPEFUL OF BECOMING APART OF ONE DAY! BUT THERE ARE ALOT OF "PERPS" OUT THERE! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

NiaX 08-13-2009 03:16 AM

When you become the Delta Perp police, then you can make that your mission...but for now, we will worry and handle that.

Don't put the cart before the horse now...:)

I'm trying to help you as best I can.. but you need to take the cotton out of your ears and hear me closely...

1. take your Caps Lock key OFF. We know internet etiquette...and you are shouting to us. Mind your keyboarding skills. If you have a 3.2 gpa, then you would know your assignments are not typed with the caps lock button pressed.

2. Know your role. Yes its nice that you want to have your questions answered on the net b/c you don't have to show your face....but your friend that is a member of Delta Sigma Theta is given more respect than us but yet we all have reached the goal you want to attain. So, you must give respect in order to earn respect...that phrase should be very familiar. AND the respect also goes for the rest of the NPHC.

3. You feel that we are being fake on here...that we are posing as wannabes and nevergonnabe Deltas...I want you to FALL BACK. Observe the board...ALL of it. People's actions will come out, and you will know whats goin on. The degrees of seperation is very small...And I see you live in Detroit...there are MANY of my sorors and other friends in the NPHC that reside in your city. Just sit there and take in this environment that is GC.

4. Since you're up at 3am...Why not think about a community service project that you can do that will enhance your life and your son's life. Don't do it to get a foothold for Delta..don't even have it tied to your interest in Delta. Do it b/c YOU want to give back to YOUR community.

I think these 4 pts should be a nice starting point...

So I've been perping Delta for over 12 years? Yeah, okay. You got your feelings hurt on the 'Net because you chose to ask a question that violates this forum's policies. I am certain you read at least 2 threads before you registered and published this . . . mess.

Had you read and applied what you read from A Torch to Guide You, you might not be in this position now arguing with the EYEOTA chapter of DST.

Lane swerve, but is a 3.2 GPA really that high? I mean... it's a B average. I suppose it depends on what school you go to... It's above the minimum for my organization but just barely...

BTW this is a serious question - I'm not really trying to burn the OP I seriously want to know what people's thoughts on scholarship are.

Senusret I 08-13-2009 08:20 AM

I consider it a respectable GPA..... this is an ENTIRELY different topic, but I do believe people of color attending certain colleges will have a harder time gaining a high GPA for several reasons:

1) Inadequate preparation from under-resourced schools.
2) Lingering institutional racism (and/or sexism for the women of color) from various schools and departments.
3) Joining a lot of clubs which promote race unity and instill an obligation of participation -- basically doing things you feel you NEED to do rather than things that will help you academically

All three of those factors affected my GPA at some point in my college career. Not saying that it's the same for everyone, but it would have been fine at my school.

Fair enough, thank you very much. :)

She's still preaching to us. :) It's always funny when aspirants know so little and suddenly know so much when their question isn't answered. :)

That's the formula for the Eternal Aspirant. With God, THAT is always possible. :)

Plus the OP has a baby and may be a single mother.

1) I wonder why the National HQ FAQ didn't touch on that. :) 2) I wonder why there is no chapter that she has interacted with so that she could figured this stuff out. If she hadn't been so lazy with her OP and had thought about 1) and 2), we would not be here now. :)
