OK, I don't want to be an annoying newbie like the ones being described in this thread, but I just joined today, can someone help me figure out how to work this website and not annoy people? Because this is really confusing for me..

Oh! LOL! I think I pegged off atleast....four or five of those in my "OP" thread (newly learned term, so I've been saying it alot, ha)...

When you come here asking for HONEST advice, and we give it to you, please don't say we're "being mean." Example: If you say you're "only considering 8 chapters" and "don't have very many recs" and you're "at a competitive southern school", don't be suprised if we say that you will most likely have a tough time at recruitment. We're not being mean, we're just being honest. If you want to be told "Oh you'll be fine and you'll get a bid to your top choice!" then you need to find another site peeps. |
This thread started as a decent parody. Then it became more about serious advice for newbies thread. That sucks. Newbies get more than enough advice on GC.
