Chi O already has a chapter at UMass, unless you're talking about the Lowell, Dartmouth or Boston campuses.

Sorry, I meant UMass Dartmouth as my goddaughter will be attending there this fall.

I've said this in the Kappa forum before, but San Jose State! They actually just selected Alpha Xi Delta to colonize there. I'm from SJ, and I've met a number of women who were members of that chapter. I really don't think we could handle it any time soon though considering how many CA chapters we've gotten recently (Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and Merced).

Also: George Mason because one of my key sisses transferred there.

I'd love to see Gettysburg College,Pitt and University of Miami. Every college we're not at already. Go Greek!

USC (So Cal) our Pi chapter. I hear "something" is in the works. The issue is housing.

Cleveland State: I've had recent conversations with their OGL and our National. More to come...

Like I said in the Kappa thread...I'd love to see AOII back at Columbia, though, it wouldn't be our Alpha chapter since we were founded specifically at Barnard. Maybe it would be the Alpha Alpha chapter!

Now that we are back at Columbia (and it was allowed to be Alpha as Barnard and Columbia share the Panhellenic system), I would love to see us back at NYU. Our Nu chapter was started by one of our founders, Helen St. Clair Mullan when she was a student at NYU Law School. I think they must have been the cause of law students at NYU being interested in sororities and subsequently starting DPhiE at NYU Law School.

I really want to see us come back to the northern Midwest/Great Plains/Rockies where we aren't currently.

University of Wisconsin- Madison
University of Minnesota
Illinois State University
Northern Illinois University
Monmouth College
South Dakota State University
University of Wyoming
Montana State University
University of Montana

As for new chapters, hmm. Anywhere in the area honestly.

I would love to see Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Kappa Alpha Theta back at Pitt.

When the sororities were forced to move onto campus, Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi & Zeta Tau Alpha seem to have disappeared. I never heard what happened to them at Pitt.

For funsies, here's all the chapters people hoped would open or re-open that actually did:
AOII:
University of British Columbia
Columbia
Purdue

Theta:
Wake Forest
Louisville
Virginia Tech

Phi Mu:
University of Washington
Arkansas
James Madison
Cornell

ADPi:
Ole Miss
LSU

APhi:
Stanford
Kentucky
LSU
UNC-Chapel Hill
UGA
Ole Miss
Florida

Gamma Phi:
Texas State

Sigma Kappa:
Arizona State
Indiana

AXO:
Arkansas

XO:
Minnesota
University of Rochester (NY)

Future colonies are in italics-the point is that dreams sometimes do come true!

I would love to see KD back at the University of Oklahoma. I was so sad when I heard the chapter had closed.

I'll go work for them in Student Affairs so I can restart their Greek life, there shouldn't be any problem doing that:p

My wishlist:
SMU
Oklahoma
Purdue
Ohio State
Maine
UConn
Colorado
Oregon
Utah
Lawrence University (WI)-I think it's our only closed single-letter chapter at a school that still has Greek Life

And for at Clemson, I would love to see our three closed chapters of DG, Pi Phi and AGD return.

Sciencewoman 07-31-2015 04:25 PM

When this thread was first started, we had several single letter chapters that were closed and have since recolonized, or will recolonize soon:

Michigan (Beta)
Barnard/Columbia (Iota)
WUSTL -- recolonizing this coming year (Phi)
Oregon State -- next in stack (Chi)

That leaves:
Goucher (Zeta)
Stanford (Mu)
Hollins (Upsilon)

So, I've got to go with Stanford as my #1 "wish" since that's the only viable option to round out the single letter chapters.

I would also like to see more SEC chapters, more Ivy League chapters, and Texas. And Washington and Lee, but I think they're at optimal capacity and I don't see that changing.

ColdInCanada11 07-31-2015 04:55 PM

I would absolutely love to see Alpha Gan reopen our chapter at McGill University- I think it would do well! Also, UND would be fantastic- nice and close!
