The Twilight series is my guilty pleasure. When I first got the boxed set offline, I read all of the books in a little over a week and managed to work both of my jobs. I cannot WAIT until New Moon hits the big screen. I am praying they didn't butcher anything...

Twilight left me like this: :confused: . How could they leave out the blood typing scene? New Moon had better bring it. So long as I get to see Emmett, I'm good. :)

Seriously, how lame is it that I am probably more excited about this than most of my teen students? :)

The math teacher at school and I are the same way. I'm debating about making a countdown on my wall upon return to school next year.

I'm watching The Messengers on Lifetime. Kristen Stewart was much better in this. Supposedly, she intentionally makes Bella so awkward. Maybe I'll be convinced with New Moon.

Eta: I spoke too soon...

They had "Catch the Kid" on last weekend, and granted she was probably 13 or 14 and in those "awkward" years in real life when it was filmed, but she was about the same as Bella, only 12 instead of 17.

Same here! However, I don't know if I will see it on opening night as I don't want to see all my female students again!

...but think about what that will do for your coolness factor! :cool::D

Has anyone seen New Moon trailer yet? I thought it looked really good.

Our anniversary (5 YEARS!) is the 22nd of November, and there's a drive-in near the town where we got married (we're going there for our anniversary trip) that shows first-run movies. If they have it, we're going there to see it!:D

Movie is out!

I'm going to see it Sunday with the husband. We're going to a theater that's got reserved seating, and it's two days after it opens, so I'm hoping to avoid the madness.:D

haha. I'll see it either tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I didn't change my facebook status to reflect that I'm on team Edward.

I saw it last night at the midnight showing and I must say, I enjoyed it quite a bit. However I also had the excuse of "oh well midnight showings are a fun college thing to do" and "I'm a young woman". So. The audience at the midnight showing was mainly girls and women of the ages of 12-22. There were a few women above that age range, and I'd say about 15-20 men total. It ran 2 hours and 20 minutes and I'd say that if nothing else, you get your money's worth. I've read all the books and from what I remember it's pretty accurate to them. I liked the way they did some parts, but not others. (I don't want to give much away since I know not that many people have seen it).

So that's my generic review of the movie. I'd say, if you think you want to see it, just do it because it's worth the ticket price (IMHO). Tell me what you thought when you go to see it.
