Yes, I am male.

Having said that, My wife and I have both had some wonderful experiences with Delta Sigma Theta sisters in our lives.

The long time principal of my son's elementary school who was a good friend to my wife and myself is a Delta sister. And yes she did have some Elephant decorations in her office. She was promoted a couple of years ago to being head of Title I programs in Montgomery County (The county due north of Washington DC). (The school system arm twisted her into interviewing for the job and then didn't interview anyone else. :)

The University that I attended (Carnegie-Mellon University (PA)) did not have a Delta Sigma Theta chapter (or for that matter any of the Noble 9). My wife's University (Frostburg State University (MD)) did and my wife said that she liked the DSTs better than she did the other Noble 9 Sorority that was there.

(And if you are wondering about skin color, my wife and I are about the same color as President Obama's mother. :)

Please don't do cartwheels for us, naraht.

Your post makes me want to delete my attempt to answer your question. ;)

Cartwheels

Hmm. I guess it was a bit over the top...

Completely over the top would be organizing a boycott against Mattel until they agree to put out a Barbie in Crimson and Cream at the appropriate time. :D

So do you have enough info for the Wikipedia page? I'm sure it will still be a work in progress.

naraht 01-28-2009 01:03 PM

I moved it into the mainspace early this morning.

It is now available at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...al_Conventions and is linked from the Delta Sigma Theta wikipedia page.

Any additional information is still welcome...

Please refer to her as Dr. Louise A. Rice. To refer to a Delta as Soror is reserved for Deltas only. :)

He is learning about them. He was corrected and we all moved on.

Please allow Deltas to take care of Deltas in the future. Thanks.

Ducky! First of all where have you been? Well I know where you have been, but I mean relative to GC. Second, you know R. is our honorary Alpha Delta. He gets a pass. :D

Truje story. I forgot that GC existed. I know that's bad, but I did. It just randomly popped in my head that I used to come to this site, as I was perusing MTO for the latest gossip. LOL

(And no comment on the pass.)

It's okay that you forgot GC existed.

Both of your comments are really harsh especially since it was already addressed. There was no need to come out of pocket with Senusret or naraht.

I didn't consider my comments out of pocket, or harsh, at all. Also, I had no idea, at the time, that naraht's error had been addressed, since I read and respond in order.
