Are there any in the South Texas region (Corpus Christi)? Also, are these workshops just for high school seniors? And what is the purpose of attending them?

If you type in "Corpus Christi Alumnae Panhellenic" you'll find the contact for at least 1 person. This is what I found (it comes straight from the TTU website):

hey FSUZeta is there anyway that you could help me out too? I've tried getting in contact with the women at the Miami Panhellenic Alumnae but they haven't responded to any of my emails (i've only sent two promise).
i just want to be prepared for rush in the fall. you know, just in case any of the women would like to meet me in order to see if they would actually like to write a letter of recommendation for me. thank you so much (:

Sorority information party
All college-bound high school graduating senior girls and their mothers are invited to the Fort Walton Beach Area Panhellenic Sorority Information Party at 10 a.m. April 11 at Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club, 180 NE Ferry Road. Call [ phone number deleted for this GC post; it IS in the brief posting on the news site]

http://www.thedestinlog.com/articles...each_fort.html

(The notice is way down in the list of "community happenings;" looks like this is a batch of local events published / posted in the March 26, 2009 edition of thedestinlog )

It used to be that each high school hosted its own information session. I wonder why they moved it to the Yacht Club.

I used to write recommendations for local girls; after being given 70 one summer, I think I've done my share. :)

FSUZeta 04-27-2009 07:38 PM

munchkin, it makes for less work(and maybe less paperwork) on the panhellenic ladies if they host one event in one location, rather than events in multiple locations. it might also indicate that the pnms who show up are a little more serious about recruitment, having had to make the extra effort to go to the yacht club.

as for your 70 recommendations in one summer, that has got to be some kind of record and you should definately be in the panhellenic hall of fame!

Does anyone have any contact information for the Charlotte, NC panhellinic? I am sure there is one, but I have not been able to find any contact information. I know a girl going through recruitment in the fall and would like to help her get set up with recs.
