I can't wear pants from American Eagle anymore, or I get plumber crack.

Sad, I know. And a little TMI.

Thank you, sister! This caught me off guard, I choked on my water and started gagging while laughing and now I'm getting all sorts of looks....

A swimming pool. The one I have designed should be right at 40k. So that's not happening this year! I'll take money to go toward my paver patio, that will eventually become part of my pool deck. I'm working on it in stages.

I'm thinking National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation right now after what you said.

I'm working on a trolling plan. I'm hoping to have it done by Christmas.

I think I should ask for more cooking stuff. I <3 cooking and I'll be screwed when I don't live with my roomie anymore.

That's a really good idea. When I had my first place by myself, I had to get everything on my own. My mom and dad really helped out a lot by sending any castoffs my way. As it stands, I'm STILL using my grandmother's kitchen knives (all expertly sharpened by my dad) and her silverware, and dishes that I grew up on as a kid (complete with creepy looking geese).

I'm going to continue using this stuff until live-in and I get married. We've gotta have something to put on a registry - for some reason my extended family loves to buy off registries.

But, we don't have any steak knives. That's why it's on my list.

Another idea for you to ask for, Lucy, is if you're getting an apartment by yourself a tool kit or maybe even a smaller power drill. I would have been lost without my tools. Hanging curtains is a lot easier when you have the tools to do it!

For my boyfriend's family I had to put together a short list. It includes two document frames for my degrees, and iTunes giftcards. Plus, if live-in gives me something that you can get accessories for, then maybe some of those.

A washer and dryer.
A new sewing machine.
A few pairs of warm, wool socks.
A really nice pair of snow boots.
Sephora gift card.
Maybe an electric blanket.
Peacock lamp from Lowes
A mirror I found at Lowes

I really hope I don't get any books/DVDs/CDs as I'm already up to my ass in books I have yet to read/DVDs to watch/etc.

I'm crossing everything off this list. I just want my wisdom teeth removed. Ouch :(

I'd like a new rice cooker for Christmas.

I've definitely been getting stuff from relatives. My parents randomly got a knife set as a present and they gave it to me. Luckily, I won't be living on my own for at least 9 or 10 months. I applied for a job that would have me traveling all of next year, so maybe I'll put off kitchen supplies for another year? Haha

Yeah, my roomie has tools, too. Those were great when we were moving in!
