-Cetaphil face cleanser
-Panoxyl (a 2.5% benzoly peroxide cream) -cetaphil moisturizer. And that, my friends, is the trick to getting rid of super stubborn acne. I tried Proactive, I tried the AcneFree, none of it worked. Turned out, all I needed was a gentle cleanser, the 2.5% cream and the moisturizer. Total cost? about 8 bucks. Proactive? $50. I also use the Benefit EyeCon undereye cream which works like a dream. I finally broke down and bought a bunch of cosmetics in grad school because I was having to go to conferences and job interviews so often. I got all benefit, and it really hasn't let me down yet. |
I have Cetaphil face cleanser, too! I love the scent it has.
I had a girlfriend who had bad acne. Then I found out she wasn't washing her makeup off before bed. She said she was just too tired and too lazy to do it, but damn if that acne won't go away. It seemed like she didn't understand the connection between the two things. I was taught that the first commandment of makeup is that you never, ever sleep with it on. |

Philosophy's "Purity" is pretty good facewash, too.

Everyday:
-Oil of Olay deep clean cleanser for combination/oily skin or St. Ives Apricot Scrub -Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel (I love it...I've been using it since I was 12!) -Cherry Chapstick -VS's beauty rush lip gloss I'm pretty low maintenance. In general I don't wear makeup (foundation), unless it's for recruitment or special events When I wear makeup: - Great Lash mascara - Stila eyeshadows |
Everyday:
-Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser -Stila Tinted Moisturizer -Cargo Bronzer -Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Smoke -Cherry Chapstick -Huge bottle of water daily I've gotten really into the spray tanning; my friends are into tanning beds but I'm terrified of skin cancer. I found a booth that makes me look tan and not orange...its great because I don't need foundation when I use it. |

Wow, you girls have it down pat.
The pencil DOES leave super thick lines that make me feel like a 13 year old with her first makeup kit. And somehow I always get smudges and smears all over my left hand when I put eyeliner on. I love the way it looks, but I rarely bother with it because it's such a pain in the butt when I do. What kind of liquid liner are you guys using? Are the liquid liners more likely to irritate your eyes? |
reading this thread has encouraged me to drink more water. i've been on track for what, 3 days now and i already SEE the difference in my skin and i just feel better.
facial products: clinique 3 step. i admit i'm lazy in the mornings so its more like 2 step (soap, moisturizer-gel) and then in the evenings i do the full 3. make up depends on my outfit and how much i have packed into the day. i generally use MAC "Glamour Check" eyeshadow and a little maybelline eyeliner. i forget what its called but its in the tiny green pencil, and i believe it used to be in a black casing. my lips are usually nude unless i'm going out, then i'll do it up with lipliner and a cute gloss. but with this winter weather, its carmex or the cocoa butter stick. |
I like Clinique 3 Step but the soap is too harsh if you have sensitive skin. The toner's nice but sometimes it left my face a little sticky, which made me wonder how smart it is to leave a film of something on your skin to sleep.
I love their moisturizer. I don't like the smell, but the weight is perfect, especially if you plan to put more makeup over the moisturizer. PLUS it doesn't make you break out. A lot of them do. |

I'm interested in this cetaphil moisturizer... what consistency is it? |
I am, too. I'm staying with my parents right now and borrowing Mom's moisturizer, which is way too heavy for me.
Is Panoxyl at CVS or Target or anywhere like that? It sounds like it'd be good for spot treatment, even if you don't have an overall problem per se. |
Clinique Daily Moisturizer.
I've been using it for 10 years now. They should give me a freebie. |
