AOII BAMA MOM 08-18-2008 11:20 AM

Auburn Mom

Thank you so much for printing out the Marietta Girls list.
You are a sweetie!!

What was quota this year? Did everyone make quota??

APhi4Ever 08-18-2008 11:28 AM

Quota is 86 (78 Frosh/8 Upper) I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and I don't think all the sororities made quota.

AuburnMom08 08-18-2008 11:29 AM

I don't know if I'll ever get this sorted in excel. Its a disaster. Maybe if I break it down better in my text file...

bamadz 08-18-2008 11:35 AM

Who all did not make quota? I heard that AOP made quota and that they were the only ones.

There are two quotas, one for freshmen and one for upperclassmen. Some of the houses do not always pledge many upperclassmen.

AuburnMom08 08-18-2008 11:42 AM

Speaking of upperclassmen, I saw a girl on the list from my area who graduated from community college in May making her a junior! I was very surprised and glad for her.

BAMA2 08-18-2008 11:43 AM

I think Kappa has 80. I don't think they generally pledge upperclassmen.

BAMA2 08-18-2008 11:51 AM

More info on Kappa: it is my understanding (don't hold me to this) that the pledge class consists of 78 freshmen and 2 upperclassmen (one who is a junior, but not a transfer!)

GPhiBLtColonel 08-18-2008 11:52 AM

Gamma Phi Beta did not make quota - if the list on the link is final and if I counted correctly - we have only 58, including a gorgeous girl from the Bahamas, mon! We did make quota last fall though and I know everyone was hopeful for a repeat this fall.

AuburnMom08 08-18-2008 12:00 PM

As I'm sorting out this text file I see a handful of girls from Cali, and one from London and one from Australia! How strange all this must be to them lol!

AuburnMom08 08-18-2008 12:00 PM

And lottssss of Texas, Florida, and Georgia girls.

I saw one small error on the list - one girl from our area (e.g. Fayetteville GA) is listed as being from Fayetteville NC:confused:

Sometimes they list Decatur GA girls as Decatur AL...understandable with 1,155 names and hometowns!
Here are totals...should be FAIRLY accurate:
Alpha Chi Omega - 86
Alpha Delta Pi: 87
Alpha Gamma Delta - 84
Alpha Omicron Pi - 84
Chi Omega: 80
Delta Delta Delta: 78
Delta Zeta: 87
Gamma Phi Beta: 58
Kappa Alpha Theta: 89
Kappa Delta: 84
Kappa Kappa Gamma: 81
Phi Mu: 97
Pi Beta Phi: 78
Zeta Tau Alpha: 88
Could be off 1 or 2, here and there.

I hate to hear that about Gamma Phi. I was a DZ at Bama and there were 2 girls from my hometown that went through rush. One was a legacy of DZ, but was not impressed by them and went ADP and couldn't be happier. The other little girl, was so impressed by DZ, but they dropped her before prefs. She was heartbroken. She had 2 recomm. coming into rush from my mother, who was a DZ at ETSU and the other little girl's (the ADP) who was also a DZ at ETSU. We all thought that she would get a bid from DZ. On pref night, she had AOP and GPB, but dropped GPB b/c she really didn't like them going through rush. I could ring her little neck for not going to the GPB pref night b/c she might have loved them. We are all hoping that she will either get an interview for the new one recolonizing at UA or that she will get picked up for a snap-bid from someone. Or if anything will get an invite from someone for spring rush. So, that was why I was wondering if everyone made quota, but DZ has a HUGE pledge class!!! So, I don't think that she will have any luck there. But congrats to all the new members!!!
