I thought the chapter had closed shortly thereafter, but the listing here says 2000, so I think there must have been a recolonization/reorg in there at some point. Our chapter at Michigan did that in the mid-90s, too, and it didn't work, either. And those weren't the only ones. RFM has really helped at Michigan.

^Yes, when I was there at that time, AOPi, ZTA, and DZ closed. Your chapter was starting the "re-org" and Alpha Xi was still open but having difficulties.

RFM seems to have changed things a lot, but I feel like now we're seeing lots of campuses where there's still one chapter that's not quite making it. I wonder if there will be a new iteration of RFM in the future.

Perhaps a method similar to the split quota now used at Arkansas and Mississippi, with the few smaller chapters taking the larger quotas?

I think there will always be a sense of exclusion, someone has to be the "other" at a lot of schools. It can be really tough to break through that. Schools who really want success and growth find a way to nip the negativity. Many still allow the rumor mills that get repeated here from time to time. I think RFM helps a lot but if it's a school where you're better off dead than choosing "that chapter" then the battle can really be tough. I can think of a few schools where they seem to have gone beyond that. Arkansas is one. Even the smaller chapters are still huge and I think they are doing a great job of trying to find a way to reach parity. I think the best solution is just to keep adding chapters. But hey, what do I know?

I went to school pre-RFM and to a school with 15 chapters. There were 4 who were on the outside. That is ridiculous. And btw, they have totally solved it there, but RFM took several years to really work its magic. The girls went kicking and screaming into the future.

Question for our KD friends. I'm updating the chapters by sorority and I have to chapters both listed as Zeta Lambda. Can you tell me what chapter designation you have for UC-Davis and University of Delaware?

The dates listed for Belmont's (TN) recruitment are incorrect. In the past they have held recruitment over Labor Day weekend but this year it will be over Fall Break weekend.

Oct 7-10.

I am not sure if this was Panhellenic driven or university driven. The administration has not been thrilled about the growth of Greek Life. Therefore, the administration requiring students to stay on campus during Fall Break in order to join would not surprise me. But perhaps Panhellenic just wanted a few extra weeks to prepare?
