Recruitment Convocation is tonight at 5....NOW.

My dd started considering recruitment two years ago, and the water parties a couple weeks ago really confirmed that this is what she wanted. She is going in with an open mind, and I am praying that it will be a pleasant experience.

What year is she in school? (Freshman, soph, etc)? I really hope she has a great time! Got all the recs in order?

She's a freshman this year. We went through a local Panhellenic organization for the recs. Plus, we had all but three of the sororities covered for recs before we did that. Thank you notes have been sent out as polite reminders as well, and I just have to trust that they were done.

^^^very good! And I believe that some sort of liquid refreshment is in order; you might wish to stock up and consume (somewhat) freely in the days to come. At least, that's been my impression from the moms who have posted in the past during their daughters' rushes.

Can't remember where the post is about the mother falling out of the tree last year. Tee-hee...I was there and can confirm that this is true...plus Moms jumping out of the bushes to find out which houses DD was attending. I will be on this beautiful campus for recruitment again this year. Mary Poppins and I plan to meet up one day! Like her, I will not comment during recruitment.

If only someone had captured the tree incident and bush moms on video -- viral! That has to be the funniest 'mom recruitment story' ever.

The (gorgeous and talented) daughter of a close friend pledged Phi Mu at Ole Miss last year -- she is an OOS legacy. I don't have any PNMs, who I know personally, to follow through recruitment at Ole Miss this year. :(
